Claiborne was our best defender last year. He was a freshman linebacker than actually made a play every so often.
Golden was another freshman. He played a ton at DT. We had 3 big time(4 stars) DT freshman and he was easily the most productive of the 3.

I know Golden is from Texas, but Les had the opportunity to offer both and receive instant commits. Glad he didn't.

Sometimes these kids just don't learn. Amazes me. Oh well, they didn't deserve to be on an SEC football team.

They waaaay gone, this was strike three or four for Claiborne.
Definitely tempering my expectations big time now. 7 wins might be an accomplishment now, we have zero playmakers at linebacker.

Both played as true freshmen last year. Golden was a starter at 1-Tech. Claiborne started at MLB, and was going to start at WLB this coming season. Claiborne made the SEC All-Freshman team, and was probably our best defender.
