Man Up and Admit Error -- 2013 Recap

What were some ways in which the 2013 season proved you wrong?
(1) Nick Marshall's mental toughness: I thought there was no chance he would lead AU to any sort of championship given some of his interviews and his disciplinary issues at UGA. I immediately saw them as bowl eligible again with him at the helm, but assumed he would piss away close games with poor decisions. I was wrong.
(2) UGA @ Clemson: I laughed at the prospect of Clemson beating us, even at faux Death Valley. We absolutely own Clemson historically. Injuries played a big role. But even if you'd told me before the game that we would be with a hobbled Gurley and no Malcolm Mitchell after the first series, I wouldn't have worried. I was wrong.
(3) SEC Championship Game: My prediction was USCe v. Bama. Not my worst prediction, but still deserves recognition given the dramatic way in which each team shat away their opportunity.

I didn't expect Missouri to win the East even into late November, I was confident they'd lose to Ole Miss or TAMU.

I thought there would be no way Saban would let his team collapse in another Sugar Bowl. I was wrong.

I thought LSU's D would reload.

Once it was apparent that Georgia could not win due to injuries, I figured Mizzou had a great shot. For whatever reason, things just have not broken SouCar way. They are definitely due, and that worries me.

I thought the 2013 team would come into the season in shape with better strength and conditioning since the lazy once a day practice schedule was dumped and people were on the hot seat....
After beating LSU I thought everything was possible...
I thought we would be stuck with Grantham and a nasty power struggle this year.... bright spot!

I thought Ole Miss would give Bama a better game than anyone.

Thought we would've had a couple more wins, but also didn't expect Max Smith to re-injure his shoulder, Patrick Towles to get a staph infection in his arm, and Jalen Whitlow carrying the torch as starter.
I mean Western Kentucky. Come on.
Also thought Josh Clemons would've been our horse at RB until he tore his achilles tendon right before the season started.
Here's to a much healthier 2014 season.

I thought our O would be well managed under Allen. I knew we wouldn't be good, but I didn't think Allen would be a factor as to just how bad we were.

1. Still shocked Mizzou won the east. When their QB went down with the injury, you could have sucker bet me any amount of money they would lose 3 more games. I underestimated them.
2. I thought a&m would have a real defense. I expected them to challenge for the west. After the first half of the bammer game, I knew what kind of an up and down season was coming.
3. Thought uf was gonna win the east if they got by uga. Injuries or not, uf never should have been that bad.
4. Finally, Auburn surprised me. I thought we were a 8-4 regular season team. Glad I was wrong.

1. I expected Auburn to have 8 wins at best.
2. I claimed Bama would blow out OU.
3. I overestimated Bert's ability to turn Arky around some.

I thought AU would be average.
I thought Amari Cooper would be all-World.
Did not see Mizzou remotely challenging in the East.

Picked Uga or UF to win the east.
Had 8-9 wins for AU.
Those were preseason.
In season only huge frick up was bama to destroy a bad OU team.

1. I thought the SEC streak would continue until Auburn made it into the title game. I then knew they would embarrass the rest of us.

I thought Tre Mason would score on the last play of the NCG (it just seemed to fit with the tone of AU's season).
