Who do you have?
With LSU seems Chavis is destined to be a coordinator forever, Cameron I could see leaving for NFL but I doubt he takes over a college team.

Rhett Lashlee will go to Arky as their HC. When Gus retires, he will come home to be Auburn's HC.

Bobo will be a frontrunner when Richt eventually retires.
Pruitt will end up a HC somewhere down the line.

Frank Wilson, LSU RBs coach and recruiting coordinator.

Kirby Smart will be an SEC head coach sometime soon. After Kiffin leads us to two national titles he will be a hot commodity in tSEC. He'll probably end up at LSU when tDecline is in full effect.

All kidding aside, if Kiffin is successful as a coordinator for 3-4 years I could see him taking a head coaching job in tSEC in a place like Mizzou (once Pinkel retires) or TAMU if Sumlin moves on to the NFL.
I could also see Billy Napier one day becoming an SEC head coach, but that's probably not anytime soon. Tosh Lupoi is also a wild card though once again it would take some time to rehab his image.

Also from UGA, I could see Bryan McLendon (current RB coach and Recruiting Coordinator) making his way into a HC position. I have heard it mentioned that he might be a top candidate for OC if Bobo ever goes elsewhere.

I think some assistants aren't head coach material... Kiffin seems to be one of them...

From recent comments Pinkel has made, he isn't going to retire anytime soon.

With Kiffin its also an issue of maturity. IF he matures under CNS his coaching career can be rehabbed IMO. That is a big IF, however, as he is going to have to prove himself to a lot of doubters. A coordinator job under CNS can be just as stressful as a head coaching job at some of the smaller schools. Does he have what it takes to succeed or will he be one and done?

It worked for Larry Porter. oh wait...
Should probably try and run an offense first .

I'm surprised that Smart isn't a head coach already. He will be soon, no doubt. Maybe not in the SEC unless he's the "HC in waiting." I don't know if that has been mentioned in Tuscaloosa.

I guess I could see like Miss St or Kentucky hiring Kiffin out of desperation from a recruiting standpoint. He will always be a great recruiter. If he doesn't have success as a head coach with a lesser football program, that'll be the end of his road. Alabama is the best place for him as a coordinator. He will always have success under Saban. If he's smart, he will stay there as long as he can.

Having a few years of fiercely opposing this while simultaneously bracing myself for the reality is getting me closer to accepting. By 2020 I should be ok with. I begrudgingly say that the continuity and his continued growth/recruiting prowess is growing on me.

I figure this too.
A few years who'd have though we'd have 2 coordinators that at least had a chance be HCs of somewhere not in the Sun Belt?
