Meh. He wasn't actually switched until later in the year.

You would not be wrong. That guy wakes up looking for crap to throw at Bama.

How the hell do you know he was lied to? Bama may of had no intention of moving him when he signed, but after looking at him for nearly a season it was obvious he was never going to play running back at Alabama. Then they asked him to switch to get on the field. He had the right to transfer, but quit being a little bitch because Auburn has moved players to different positions as well. He even said in the article he didn't feel mislead, but somehow that didn't make Bryan Matthew's summation.

As if Auburn has never done the same. Looking forward to seeing Kerryon Johnson as a running back when he'd be a way better safety.

Quote from article
"Grant eventually decided to transfer, and Nick Saban asked Grant to give cornerback one try. He couldn’t do it. He maintains he didn’t feel misled but called it a “learning experience,” and one that’s not unique in the college football culture of recruiting promises and stockpiling talent."
I remember saban saying he was surprised he wanted to transfer, he thought he would play a role in the offense the year he transferred.

Maybe Brian Mathews should write about the lies that ol' Trooper and Luper told, now that would be good reading.

Is this idiot really trying to tie this in to players' rights?

Say something negative about bama and every gump crawls out from under their rock.

The point he's trying to make is about maybe having the NCAA take another look at the transfer rules for players.

he was given a shot at rb, it was clear he was not going to crack the rotation, he was given an opportunity to try and see the field elsewhere. he didnt want to so he transferred, to a team where he still will never start at running back.

Do none of y'all realize Matthews didn't write the article?
