Without going into too much details all I have to say is great campus, great professors, great people. I think the interview went well and I'm optimistic about my chances. If I get accepted I won't hesitate to accept.

That's awesome.
Glad it went well.
Regardless of where you end up, things work out the way they should.
Safe travels back home.

Hey be safe the roads are going to be NASTY today all across your path through the South.
Don't let people who are "too cool" talk College Station down. I live in central Austin, the self-proclaimed captial of cool, but have my eye on some land out half an hour from CS... if I could get a job there I'd move in a heartbeat.

I posted in your other thread and I'll say it again here: I did the Bush School master's program (international affairs, nat sec focus) awhile back and I'd be happy to answer any questions you've got.
As a disclaimer, however, I've heard it's changed a fair bit over the last few years. First off, the dean position has been a bit unstable: unfortunately Chilcoat had to resign and eventually passed from cancer, then there was an interim dean for awhile, then Ryan Crocker came on but left fairly quickly to serve as the ambassador to Afghanistan (on another note, he got a DUI a year or two back), then somebody else came on, and that's about as much as I kept up with. I also heard that they were considering a dramatic increase to student enrollment, but I don't know if that ever came to pass. Throw in the inevitable faculty turnover and it might be a totally different experience. Still, glad to give whatever insight I can.
