Athlete is a really tough thing to define. However, I'll go with AJ Green since not only was he likely one of the best WRs of that era, he was also offered a basketball scholarship to UNC in high school, as well as played safety at summerville too.

Reggie McNeal. He was faster and had a better arm than Manziel. He played for an awful coach around poor talent in a bad scheme and had his own "issues" off the field, supposedly, but in terms of raw athleticism, Reggie > Johnny.
