Students are back into Bama baseball. Student attendance at the games has been the highest its been in my 3 years here. Probably can be attributed to the allowance of alcohol in right field, which is the best idea baseball has had in years. We are bringing beer, grills, dogs, and watching baseball. Section started calling itself the right field ragers. Its becoming the new thing to do in the spring, and I couldnt be happier about it. Just wanted to share. Roll Tide

Never but now there are actually seats. And the school is actually advertising and encouraging it now.

Ahh, didnt realize there were actually seats now. We used to have this big wood riser we would use to look into the stadium with.

I was out there Saturday. Beautiful weather, 2 home runs in the RF seats, and the final out came right at the RF wall. I'm worried it's going to get overcrowded with all the publicity though

Then that is a message to the admin that we need more seating. An entire outfield section like that would be awesome.

Would definitely be cool to have a student section and a regular fan section in the outfield with the new rules.

I'm hopeful it will encourage the fans to show up. A packed right field section doesn't matter if the rest of the stadium is empty.

I can almost guarantee it will eventually. Didn't look like that big of an area to begin with, and just the fact that you can bring a cooler of beer is enough to get a lot of people out.

Is that area for students only? Is it the only area for students?

When I was a student they stuck us down the left field line in temporary bleachers next to the bullpen.

It's open to everyone not just students but I'd estimate it was about 80% students the other day
