it's easy to think Neymar's not injured (he's the guy in the yellow shirt) when you don't play.
I wouldn't know who the guy was - just an entertaining pic from the 'net. For that matter I don't know who the cyclist is, either. I've never played soccer at any level, but I've seen more than enough YouTube videos of obvious flopping to have a bit of an issue with pro soccer shenanigans. Apart from flopping, I really don't get why it is so popular worldwide. I've watched PLENTY of games and they were ALL boring. Championships were exciting only because they were championships. I'm pretty sure that, like cycling, it is much more fun to play than to watch.

It's less boring than baseball. And I am a huge baseball fan. Part of watching a sport to me is all that's involved. Following the players, the coaches, talking shite, etc.

so I found out about what GOT left out....wow
Now you know why I was so excited to see y'alls reaction.
They may still use it but I honestly doubt it. Most of the things that haven't happened when they book readers expected them to have simply been written out of the show.
I need to read those D&E books agressor. I've heard they add a lot to the story and since it will be another 12 years before we get the next book I might as well keep the story fresh.

Agreed that the histrionics from some players are annoying. But it is exceedingly rare to be without basis. Generally it's a foul that may not be called so they play it up to be sure it is. But that happens in every single sport without fail.
Vis a vis other sports, I don't think soccer has any more "shenanigans" than any other. And I say that as someone that watches most sports and I feel I'm pretty knowledgeable in most. They are different sorts of "shenanigans," but in a professional environment, athletes will take any edge they can to win.

What did they leave out? Something the3y won't come back to? If so... spill it I wanna know.

I don't want to ruin it for you if they do decide to use it.
If you cant stand it, go back a page or two and there is a link to a story about it being left out of the finale. I would suggest you don't go look at it though.

I feel like that was the worst thing for them was to leave it out. Not because they left it out, because I'm fine with that, but EVERYONE is going to wind up spoiling it for themselves by the time next season gets underway

OT even for OT:
Old friend once told me "Sometimes you just gotta hit that dumbass button" when I burned most of my face off with a slow cooker. Well I slammed the crap out of the dumbass button today.
Maid comes a few times a month to our home and normally brings her 13-yr old daughter with her. Daughter has wanted to make some money on her own and so has taken to washing our cars. Today she asked if she could move wife's car back under the carport when done. I figure, "Sure, why not? I was driving at her age and if she's asking, she's surely driven before." REALLY bad assumptions. She started the car fine, but was moving I thought too fast. I holler "Hit the brake!", and soon realized I was screwed. She looked at me funny and said "This one?" before punching the gas. I managed to hop up and get my right foot into the car just before it hit the house. I hit the door hard enough to ruin it. I'm swelling up in several places and will no doubt pay for my dumbassedness tomorrow. Radiator busted and pushed into the engine plus lots of cosmetic damage plus pushing a car-width's worth of bricks in. Plus, of course, and most importantly, I'm getting "the look". Thankfully youngster was not hurt at all, so it could have been much worse.
So... how was your day?

Good Lord the class of '79 wasn't the smartest bunch ever was it.
Posted on 6/19/14 at 5:04 pm to WhiskerBiscuitSlayer
This one wasn't!

I tell my dad all the time if yalls class had been half as smart as '08 he would be a CEO by now. My aunt is class of '78 and agrees.

The standard and accepted reply to this is "I was too busy raising you, you ungrateful bastard."
No comment for your aunt, though. She's entitled to that opinion.

Good to hear everyone is OK. Sounds like an interesting day.

Yep! And thanks. I'm just really glad the kid wasn't hurt. That would have turned a laughable screwup into a tragedy. So it's all good... except for the look.

If you don't know what is being mentioned as "left out" then don't research it if you can. Don't even know if it will be in the show but if it is you are spoiling something good for a season that is going to be a lot tamer than the previous season. The story has to take a bit of a break next year as the consequences of all that has happened start to take effect and the fact that all of the characters are scattered so much will slow the story because they have to keep up with so many plot liines.
The D&E stories are great, only about 100 pages each so you can blow through them in no time. It's all set 80 years before GOT in the time of the Targs but so many of the characters in she show you hear about are in it. It's worth it just for the background on the Blackfyre Rebellion and Bloodraven but there are so many things you realize how everything could have been different if not for a few random occurrences. It's a cool time because the folks that are older in D&E actually saw dragons before they died out and there are some cool cameos like Walder Frey as a kid. Mainly though it really gives context to how important the Blackfyre stuff is and you can see how that may impact the story in the end. There are a dozen smaller things I could mention but they would get in to spoiler territory.
It's really helpful just to see Westeros in the perspective of the Targs firmly in charge and with many of them seen as great people as opposed to all you see in ASOIF is hearing about the Mad King, Viserys the Dick, Dany is cool but annoying, and Maester Aemon who is great but he is 100 years old and blind. It's also cool because some of the Houses that are strong in ASOIF aren't necessarily in D&E and vice versa. Up to this point too the 3 D&E tales are in The Reach which is a place we haven't visited in ASOIF.

damn son
they fricked up bad calling her as their own witness
did the NCAA lawyers even go back and read all of the correspondence of their witnesses?
how the frick do you deny there is a market for an athlete's likeness and then call a witness that has several emails about the reality of said subject?

Have we discussed Maelynn from Girls Do Porn who does the beginning of her video in a maroon shirt that says Aggies? I'm surprised no one had brought this to my attention yet and I had to stumble upon it this afternoon. Anyways, Google it. I'm pretty sure I can't post a link to it here.
