I'm a little disappointed in the setting tbh. One of things that made it awesome was the setting

I agree. I'm hoping for the best but the show really thrived in the small town/backwoods setting. Another gulf coast season would be so much better than California.

honestly it's the type of show that will probably epicly bomb in doing a sequel. I hope I'm wrong but when you hit just the right notes, the right setting, the right vibe, the right cast, and then try to do it again in a completely different atmosphere with different everything, you get Treme.

Can't wait for the finale.. my roommates have all read the books. I've been trying to guess the finale. All they've said is this will be better than both the weddings.

Should be at least 2 wtf moments in this episode if the directors did what most of us book readers are expecting.

ETA: I expect 1 of them to happen in the final seconds and be the cliffhanger to end the season. Shouldn't be any "mhysa" crowd surfing bullshite this year.

I'm rustled. They didn't show something they should have to end this season.

These fricking directors frick with the book fans just as bad as GRRM ever did.

That episode was so damn messed up. They had the perfect opportunity for the mother of all cliffhangers and they didn't take it. Makes me wonder if they are going to write the part I'm talking about out of the tv show.

Who on the board has read the books? I can't be the only one.

I thought they rang the bells when the king died. So either they did the same for the hand or someone got to Tomin.

I've read the first 4, and I believe I know what you're talking about. Here's an article talking about the absence of that sub-plot, and whether it might be in season 5:

Honestly, I had a bigger problem w/ their decision to pass on Tyrion making Tywin Lannister shitting gold joke.
