political apathy doesn't mean they don't go pencil in who they're told to by the media.

They both needed fame like they needed a hole in their heads.

couldn't beat him in an election so they changed the game. That's awesome in my book.
FDR died in office in 1945. The 22nd amendment wasn't introduced and passed until 1947. It was fully ratified in 1951.
They didn't change it to keep him out of office, they determined after his presidency that nobody should hold office for that long..prior to him it was kind of an unwritten rule that nobody served more than 2 terms.

Kennedy, all day everyday.

I like all of the original founding fathers Washington, Madison, Jefferson, Adams. They set up a great system for this country.
Teddy was a badass, cool personality.
Ike was a good president.
Reagan was awesome. Great leader and personality who changed the mindset of people in this country with a strong conservative message of freedom and hard work.
My bottom 5 presidents are:
Woodrow Wilson- worst president ever.
FDR - Started many socialist/welfare programs that still hurt this country today.
Obama: Divisive, terrible leader, socialist.
Carter: Just a dumb son of bitch
Lincoln sucked and divided the nation. Freeing the slaves was good, but he usurped the power of the Presidency and a lot of the hatred coming from the South was due to politics and unfair representation, combined with heavy tariffs on Southern ports and tax breaks for Northern states.

Obama, Bush, Wilson and Carter are pretty much mandatory in any bottom five. Kinda sad that three of our five worst ever have come in the last 35 years.
This is a common misunderstanding. FDR's programs saved the country and were necessary when they were implemented. Roosevelt never intended his social programs to be a permanent fix but a stopgap to get the country back on its feet.
If you want to blame someone for the current welfare state, your man is LBJ and his great society philosophy. He is the one who made sure that FDR's programs not only stuck around but expanded them.

I was more referring to the corporate welfare. For example, the bloated farm bill started under FDR. I believe Social Security did also. He had good intent, but failed to realize that once you give free handouts, it's political suicide to take them away in the future. Politicians should use more foresight before implementing any social programs, because once passed, they never go away.

Reagan #1 in my book.
Lincoln was a man who indulged in gay sex a lot. Freeing the slaves is cool and all, but otherwise, he was a nitwit.

Didn't Jimmy Carter start the deporting of jobs to China? Making America a tech country instead of an industrial country.

FDR's only shortcoming was his naïve belief that Americans as a whole had a sense of shame and would be ok with moving away from welfare programs once we got back on our feet.
He was wrong. Thankfully for him, he never lived to mourn how wrong he was.

Outside of the elderly and disabled, a majority of people on public assistance are only on it for a short period of time.

Reagan. I used to have a signature of him turning Super Saiyan and blasting away the Berlin wall. Stalin got all wide eyed anime style and blown away as well. Wasn't the most historically accurate signature, and its lost forever the guy that made it for me stopped hosting it, but my childhood love for Dragonball Z and Ronald Reagan will never fade.

Do you think Lincoln could have kept the US together if he hadn't usurped the power he did?

The answer is no. The South seceded simply because he was elected, not because of anything he did.
