Question about Alabama and all those titles.

What is the real reason for all those claims? Why do they do it while other schools do not do it? Does anybody, including Alabama fans, really know why ?

Most of the blueblood programs claim prepoll titles. Nebraska and OU are about the only ones who do not.

Other schools do it too (looking at your Notre Dame).
How many of Bama's are universally considered legit? 10 or 11? That's still a shite ton. Why not just say that number?

The short answer...Notre Dame.
When Alabama passed them in NC's, ND changed their claimed NC's to pass Bama again. The Alabama Sports Information Director used the ND (new) method and that put Bama back in front of ND. Since then both Universities have left the formula as the one that gives Alabama 15.

10 were awarded by either the Coaches or AP and are beyond question. 10 is also the CFB record; ND is second with 8 counting this way.

Because it fits well with their psycho small pecker syndrome and allows them to fulfill their role as a fan base that would sell their own mother to the Huns for another champeeensheeup because they measure their self worth on what their football team record is. That's why.
