When a coach loses a great qb he will get fired or packs his bags for another challenge.

W/O their legend record is the next 4 yrs after said legend has left.

Ken Dorsey & Larry Coker : 24-1 starter during bcs runs, 1-1 bcs title gms. W/O KD 36-14

Talent took him only so far then he was FIRED!!!

Tim Tebow & Urban Meyer : 26-2 starter during bcs run, 2-0 bcs title gms. W/O TT 8-5

Ran to osu like a little beeatch!!!

Cam Newton & Gene Chizik 14-0 starter during bcs run. 1-0 bcs title gm. W/O CN 11-14

Team quit on him then was FIRED!!!

Chris Weinkie & Bobby Bowden 32-3 starter during bcs runs. 1-2 in bcs title gms. W/O CW 36-15

If he had not been at fsu for so long he would have been FIRED!!!

AJ McCarron & Nick Saban 38-3 starter during bcs runs. 2-0 in bcs title gms.

Here's the thing AJ has ran Nicks offense to perfection, and a player like AJ only comes around once in a lifetime. Nick knows he has out kicked his coverage(pun intended) winning 3 of 4 titles, the expectations are out the roof there.

Its hard As hell to win one title let alone 3 in 4 yrs. Nick know he backed into the last 2 titles. AJ is gone and they dont have another qb capable of doing 1/4 what AJ has done there. If Nick wants to put up with unrealistic expectations he may as well go to Austin and rebuild. Nick will go to Texas win a title and buy him a ranch with Tigers, Dolphins, Elephants, & Longhorns on it.

But but AJ is just a game manager

What was Saban's record with McElroy?

How many times has AJ put the entire game/team on his back and willed them to victory? I can't think of a single instance. He's a very good game manager with a better-than-average arm, nothing more.

I love how all these great teams have a once-in-a-lifetime player all at the same time.

I also don't understand why everyone keeps saying Urban Meyer is running from competition. His cesspool of a program was about to be busted wide open. That's why he ran. He didn't run from Utah to the SEC because he fears a challenge. He didn't go to Ohio State because he fears a challenge. The guy has posted four undefeated regular seasons at three different schools. He's a shite person, but let's not act like his 128-24 record has hinged on four years of Tim Tebow.

Lol Ken Dorsey. I could have gone 24-1 with his teams at Miami.

The real problem is Nick will continually get out-coached by Les Mi.., Les M..., Le...

frick it, I can't do it. 3 of the next 4. Book it!

LSU had the great Mett and lost 3 games. Before the season LSU fans thought LSU would have gone undefeated. Football is a team sport.

You guys need to pick a flame and stick to it.

Either AJ was just a game manager and anybody could have done what he did, or he's a once-in-a-lifetime talent that Bama will never replace. Which is it going to be?

yeah I would hate to see what Bama could do with average qbs like Greg McElroy and John Parker Wison. Op is too stupid to start threads. If youre gonna flame at least be good at it.

AJ McCarron isn't a great quarterback.
2012 LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia
2013 Mississippi State, Iron Bowl
He's been off on critical passes many times.
He looked good versus 2012 Notre Dame, but we knew they were overrated. He had a nice showing on 1/9/12 but never got one in the end zone versus 2011 LSU.

when Gmac left, most Bama fans were prob concerned ab AJ bc he had a gunslinger mentality and would struggle under Saban's conservative game plan. It allllll worked out and it will work out again. It's not like we havent recruited well at QB. Hell we could even pick up a JUCO guy that's been kicked out of another program for stealing and be fine.

Saban did pretty well pre-AJ.
