Any chance Rhett Lashlee gets the Arky State job?

Still really young, but they've got the guys there to run the offense he wants. And it could get them off the turnstile HC ride they've been on the last 3 years. Would love to see him get the opportunity.

it might be to late but i think he should get it. I would love to see him coaching a big name school in the future

If he does that seems to be the ticket to the big time. Make $250,000 for a year and then BOOM!

Doesn't sound like it...I doubt any Gus disciples get looks
Edit: just my guess

I think he gets the Samford job as I believe Pat will move to an administrative position at either Samford or AU.

ASU might feel burned by their last couple hires and not go the OC route... and there might still be some bad blood with the way Malzahn left, and RL is an extention of that.
Lashlee is a few years away from running a D1A job, more than likely.

That would be interesting on many levels.

I do not see him as being their first choice, but he is somebody they are looking for... Spread offense (that the players would be familiar with), young, not likely to jump to another job after his first season, enthusiastic, great recruiter, been there before, etc... He seems like he would fit in pretty well there, although I want him to stay in Auburn.

We really need to get Arkansas State into the SEC so we can add a team that gets bowl eligible.

Would be a good fit- he's obviously comfy working for the 2nd rate/lil bro schools.

The OC job at Auburn is a much better job than the Samford HC.
I think he's a few years away from a Div 1 coaching job. He was a grad assistant at Auburn just 3 years ago. And Gus calls the plays anyway. Lashlee just helps him gameplan right now. He may call some plays, but Gus calls the majority.
Maybe Ark St takes a chance on him now, but I'd be surprised if they did.

He'd be a good hire and a good fit, but I don't see them going the coordinator/up-and-comer route again after getting burned three years in a row by it. I could honestly see them going after an older coach; not necessarily Nutt but someone in that mold).
They're about to be on their 5th head coach in 5 years -- this AD can't afford to risk losing another coach after one year.
