If you don't already know, you will learn fast: Many people don't work in their majors field. Learn some technical skills to get you employed, and your work ethic and networking gets you further. Business degrees are at its saturation point. MBA or bust for those not in the prestigious schools.

Its a highly desired skill that makes you an asset that sticks out from the other 100 applicants who don't have it. Business degrees are pretty common today, i'd want to specialize myself as much as possible. It doesn't mean you have to take an accounting job. Just makes you more versatile and immediately useful.

It seems like a MBA isn't as valuable as it once was either now that so many more people have one.

Yea I wouldn't get one unless my company was paying for it or you have been out a few years and after careful calculated thought you have found a way to make it a true investment.

The school I'm actually leaning to most right now is Clemson lol. visited my friend there last month and had a blast

Clemson is the most depressing school I have ever been to. I would pick UGA out of that line-up. Try and get in the honors program.

Just would like to hear tRant's opinion on where I should spend my next four years. I applied to several SEC schools including Georgia, Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M.

Just go ahead and make your favorite team Alabama.

In all seriousness - A&M from that list, second I would go with Florida. Regardless of where you go to school, enjoy the ride.

Maybe, but it's you that matters most.

The fact you can't decide where to go without opening it up to a public forum of strangers indicates one of two serious things and one superficial. Either one, you have trust issues and don't have anyone to talk to, two, you're antisocial and don't know how to talk to anyone, or three, and why I think you're doing this, to get attention.

Make you're your damn mind up.

Don't get upset I just made this thread to have some fun. No I would never make my decision purely off what somebody said on a forum online lol. There's a good chance I don't even go to an SEC school, so how about you just worry about yourself. You seem upset that I haven't decided yet. Maybe you should get some help. Do you realize it is November and I haven't even heard from some schools yet? If you are not aware, the decision deadline is May 1, so I'll take my time.

I'll restate, I just want tRant's opinion on some schools on my list so get your head out of your arse and dont take shite too seriously

I am a Mays Business School graduate (marketing) and my brother graduates from there next spring (management).

Excellent school.

Why specialize in a degree in something I have no interest in?

1. Don't.
2. You're not old enough to know for sure what you have interest in. Take some accounting classes. Let it sort itself out.

In terms of reputation, all four of the SEC schools you mentioned, with the possible exception of Auburn, have a much better academic reputation than Clemson.

Fun you can have at any large university (or even small college for that matter).

Having said all that, if you want to go to Clemson, it's also a fine school. Good luck to you!
