Haha no ruse. I'm Alabama through and through. But just like most Alabama fans, there are people I care about that cheer for the Tigers. I don't hate them. In Alabama one must choose their side. It means as much to Auburn fans as it does to Bama fans. The lunatic fringe are an embarrassment. However... It's just our way of life. Good and bad. And I love it.
Dear god... There ARE a few sane people here. You get it. GREAT post. Now go to hell gump

Quit thinking this game is so much more special than 10 other rivalry games.

Whatever "tween the hedges".
It is different. For Us.
But, you're from Georgia. You will never understand.
Your team is the biggest draw in your state.
In Alabama, we have King Kong and Godzilla.
And Godzilla ripped UGA's hearts out last week.

No win more satisfying and no loss more devastating.
It's the best. I love our game.
There isn't a rivalry game like this in all
of college football.
It's so much more important to the day to day
lives of the fans.
If Auburn wins this IB, it will have devastating consequences on UA. more than a loss to LSU in 2011 or A&M in 2012.
Most UA fans will tell you the most bitter loss since maybe ever was AU in 2010.Bama had nothing on the line except pride.
Bottom line. This is one of the most important games of the Saban Era.
I can't wait for the teams to meet and do what we do for OUR state championship.

It might not have been, if your defensive backs weren't Herp and Derp.

Wrong.

Mine is the 5 OT loss to UT.

The rivalry has gotten a little out of hand lately. I think it's mostly due to online forums and radio shows like Finebaum. I'm all for good-natured ribbing, and faux "hate" but we have the idiot fringe on both sides that base their whole identity on how these teams perform. I'm as big a fan as anyone, but I can also get over a loss, congratulate the other team, and move on. Enough with the poisoning of trees, rants on finebaum, and the immaturity that has become so prevalent in both fanbases.

You know the owners of Good People are Auburn grads? Michael Sellers and Jason Malone brewed Good People in Auburn as students.
I don't remember them making beer when we were students, but I drank some of Seller's beer at his tailgate this weekend. Seller's is literally good people.

I agree. It's hard to believe how seriously people will take football. Updyke isn't the only one with those sick thoughts.
