Again, not exactly what one would have thought at first. The more in depth one looks at each offense, the more one realizes, that one is and has been more productive than the other
to be fair, the numbers for each team would look a little different if Bama had to face UGA and their decent run defense and Auburn had to go up against UK... but point taken.

I will be honest with you. Your team should win. Be honest with yourself and admit that you merely want Auburn fans to jump on this thread and make you feel better about the Iron Bowl by telling you that Bama should win. Seeking validation is a weak characteristic in a human being.
Bama should win, but they WON'T!!!!

1 thing I would like to see and a general comment...
Those offensive stats are essentially meaningless to me because we are not the same team we were in September. Nick had no experience, Gus had no idea of the strengths of his personell. Hell, we barely even ran the zone read in September at all. Now it most of our offense. Fact is we have evolved tremendously to the point the offense in Sept is almost completely different than today.
That said, I would like to see the same comparison for the second half of the season. Starting with AtM or so.
That would be meaningful.

Creating despair in opponents is much more fun than seeking validation.

This argument goes both ways. Alabama has a much more experienced, cohesive pass defense than we did against Texas A&M in our second game of the season.

I believe the numbers I posted are more comprehensive, than cherry picked dates. Fret not though, I think you and some Auburn folks will be surprised by some other numbers when we discuss defense.

Stats are for losers... Too many varibles...
Offense Rushing:Auburn
Offense Passing:Bama
Defense rushing and passing: Bama
Special Teams: Even
Coaching, not just head coach: Bama
Home Crowd (Remember 1989)Advantage Auburn.
Luckiest Team: Auburn
Refs (SEC wants Bama in the Nattie)
Record/Common opponents: Bama
So yes Bama is favored, they are defending a legit Nattie (2012), but deep in my Heart I 100% believe that Auburn is a team on a mission and somehow, some way will find a way to win. Whowever wins the turnover by 2 or more will win the game... If MSU had any offense they would have won last week.

Without reading the rest of the thread, I am not seeing how Auburn wins. It would take a couple of fluke plays here or there...

So if the T/O margin is zero, the game will end in a tie?
Auburn will need to be +3 to win.
