Alabama is ranked 63rd in the nation in penalties per game. Refs underpaid?

Wondering what the tinfoil hat explanation is for Bama being right in the middle of the pack of college football in penalties called.
May need to find another excuse this year

Refs know how to throw penalties in blowouts against cream puffs. But they can't throw too many. The fact bama is right in the middle is a work of art bear bryant would be proud of. Raises little suspicion outside the genious of the secrant

Saving up for the LSU game

Young OL will do that to you.

Saban still working with raw recruits. Needs to hone their holding techniques.

Alabama is still 1st in the SEC in penalties per game decided by 10 points or less.

I am not getting what I paid for. Penn Wagers needs to get his shite together or it is back to driving a Kia for him.

Refs have obviously instituted price increases, so the REC is saving the money for the big game.

Refs are in Auburns pocket.
Fewest Penalties Per Game:
Auburn 4.2 (15th nationally)
We pay for them to call on you and not on us.

Weird how our more experienced and dominant teams got less penalties. There's either some conspiracy or logic at play here............

The OL is racking up the penalties this year big time. Most of the time people are complaining about Bama's offensive "struggles" it's actually penalties that are wrecking drives.

The fix is already in with the schedule. No need to double down on the refs this year. As soon as bama has to play an SEC East team with a pulse, the refs will be back in the bag.

Outside of the Peterson call, LSU vs AL games have been very well officiated for several years now.
And all closely contested either way.
There is no denying, however, that AL has had a history of no calls on holding by offensive lineman. I have taped and rewatched every televised game of AL over the past 4 seasons, not including this one (A&M only game worth looking at this year), and the officials were far too lenient.
Barrett Jones was the King. I still say he was moved to center primarily to obscure his "technique" from plain sight. Lol
How is his game transferring to the NFL? Serious question.

You got to throw the flag sometimes or it becomes way too obvious. Only one in three penalties being called doesn't mean shite.

Most of that is from the A&M game when the refs reamed us with bullshite penalties. There were at least two TD drives by A&M in that game where Alabama penalties played a big role in extending their drives. I'm still pissed off about the refs in that game.

No one else could get away with a hold like Barrett Jones could. Truly a master of his craft.

They are instructed to call penalties on Bama in games that are not close. So that when they call penalties to benefit Bama in close games, the average per game doesn't look as bad. --LSU Fan
