Southerners and the French know to use every part of the pig to make great cuisine. The pig is the apotheosis of BBQ. God even forbid his chosen to eat pig because he knew how good it was

Southern culture is not about people still pulling for the confederates
It's about being respectful, curtious, and well mannered. Saying yes ma'am to every lady no matter their color, age, or demographic. It's about working hard and living free. It's about soul food, helping out a neighbor, and sharing a beer or a glass of sweet tea on the front porch at the end of a long day. It's about taking care of our family, remembering those who fought for our country (including our kin who fought for the Confederates), and sharing our wonderful peaceful lives with each other while taking our time to remember to always smile and share a good time when available. THAT IS WHAT BEING A SOUTHERN IS ABOUT!
