We are all proud of our Southern roots and guard them with tooth and nail. It just sucks we all have to be so defensive about it to some people. If you look at ther population of the country right now the South has had a boom over the past 20 years. Welcome to the SEC Missou fans. Just remember starting a conversation about BBQ can be fight'in words down here

Seriously? You've just described Missouri.
A point of pride in St. Louis is that it's a big small town - primarily because the people care and want to keep things friendly and polite. The spreading violence of the gang culture of the inner city is sadly testing that ethos, but the area is putting up a brave front.
