I agree Auburn is a pretty good football team. They will surprise someone down the road.

I am not going off of the LSU game. They played well and didn't quit and they deserve credit for that. LSU let off the gas early, went SUPER conservative, and thought they could just run it down Auburn's throat. HORRIBLE coaching decision. Auburn wasn't going to quit and they weren't going to just get run over.

I don't know who you were listening to saying LSU went way conservative. Auburn coming into this game had only given up 16 second half points and no fourth qtr points. LSU scored 14 pts in the second half compared to 21 in the first half. LSU's defense got gassed in the second half and Auburn took advantage of it. Yes LSU let the air out of it in the last half of the 4th qtr but they were still winning by 14 and forced Auburn to burn all its TO's.

Since we are talking about Auburn I think Malzahn's HUNH offense is pretty effective at times but he made some calls I could not understand. On 3rd and two at mid field he ran a 20 yd out pass (incomplete) when he was running the ball effectively. The other issue was he was getting behind the chains with 2nd and 12 and 3rd and 10 and he is running his guys to the line to run a hurry up play - cardinal sin of HUNH.

So send Auburn east, bring Missouri west, establish competitive balance?

Well not really, Missouri's good too.

I gained respect for Gus as a head coach.I thought Auburn was overmatched but there is plenty improvement over the coaching staff they replaced.Watching them and the gumps right now it could be an interesting iorn bowl this year.

Appreciate the OP. We're not there yet. I think it's a stretch to imagine wins over the big kids this year. I'm not counting my chickens with any SEC game down the road. But you can just see the improvement in discipline, scheme, all that good stuff.

Auburn's not as talented as it should be because some of those stud recruits are gone and others haven't developed. But I like where this is going.

I don't know when there's been anything like the SEC West could be. Unlike others, I think Bielema can definitely coach. Ole Miss is doing mini-Auburn and may be ahead of Auburn right now. And most years, State would be your basic SEC bowl team. If Sagarin means anything the weakest team in the West is #51.

They didn't quit and had that onside kick been a foot more distant, the game could have ended a lot differently. Gus kept his guys in the game when it appeared a blowout was going to happen.

Your team should know what getting beaten by Auburn looks like.

If By miracle you mean had control of the WSU game the whole time and played crappy against MSU and still pulled it out then I agree.

Not saying Auburn isn't a good team, but something I've noticed, every team lsu plays are automatically good teams for some reason. Must be that swamp water they drink.
