Thanks.....yeah it's a smooth bore. I need to spend some time at the range with the 50 yard target. Take 00 and slugs and see what I'm more comfortable with....

Never deer hunted with a shotgun but we recently moved a stand to a spot that I think is too tight for a scoped rifle. I have an old 870 wingmaster that only takes 2 3/4 shells. What is my realistic range and what size shot should I use? ...
