The absolute worst.
I mean, why in the frick would someone cheer for a school they didn't attend?

the fact that you changed your team logo to ULM for this is hilarious

Did you ever attend the Chicago Bulls, or the Dallas Cowboys?

My grandpa played football, basketball, and ran track for Texas A&M. Even if I hadn't gone to college, I'd be an A&M fan for that reason alone. He came from a family of dirt-poor west Texas peanut farmers, but that Texas A&M scholarship changed the course of our entire family.

Who the hell would be a sidewalk Ole Miss fan?

Matriculate to the Delaware State Scrotum Sacks and you'll know why.

I would bet they're more sidewalk fans on this board than actual alums.

There is no need to be upset.

Why don't you ask your AD why they even bother to sell tickets to sidewalk fans? Maybe he'll have some insight for you.
Seriously, though, why the hate? Certainly not the first time I've heard this view expressed, but I've never understood it.

There are actually 2 types of sidewalkers those who never stepped foot in a college classroom. And those who might have attended a smaller college whose football team might not have been all that great and grew up a fan of a certain college because of parents or grandparents. So there are actually good sidewalkers out there, but also a lot of SHITTY ones.

So, let's say a guy from Mississippi or Alabama doesn't have the money for college or goes to the military straight out of high school. Is he not allowed to be a sports fan? Maybe his parents are both Alabama alums and he grew up in Tuscaloosa, but he felt compelled to join the Army for some reason. Should he be barred from Alabama fandom?

Well, they aren't the worst.
People who [sincerely] sit around worrying about whether or not someone else went to the school they pull for are pretty much the worst.

Some sidewalk fans are understandable...they are cheering for a team that is winning and they see all of the team stuff all over the place when they visit Wal-Mart. On the other hand...if you can be a sidewalk fan for a team that is in the midst of being a dumpster fire...that is impressive.

The ONE positive of being a shitty football team is that sidewalk fans are scarce. Take Ole Miss, for example.
