I'm look at all the effort and flat out bogus reporting that is going on. It to me is obvious the media which is for all intensive purposes is centered where?, in the northeast (New York) and in Big 10 country (Chicago). Now they are going after the gumps this is just getting redicoulus.

Everyone wants the SEC to fall. Period.

No, they just get more hits on articles based on the sec.

While people do love to hate winners, I think you need to take the tin foil hat off.

All media: No, they just like the drama. They don't want the SEC gone, they just want us to stay the most powerful AND the most corrupt.
The legacy sports media: Maybe. They grew up with Big 10 football and ND domination, and they can't deal with the new normal.

Yes but if all of us have done this we will be penalized whether it is a witch hunt or not it doesn't matter.

I dont know about everyone else, but Ihave heard a lot lately on this site about how ESPN wants to take down the SEC and I just dont buy that. ESPN stands to lose a fricking SHITE ton of money if the SEC brand takes a hit with the massive tv deals they have going on.
As far as everyone else? Other than ESPN and CBS, probably. Nobody likes to see the same folks take home the hardware every year.

We're the most corrupt conference, with 'Bama being the most corrupt team.

If you're SI or Yahoo, why would you put your resources anywhere else? You will get more of a return on your investment by focusing your resources on the SEC.
I have no doubt that there is some element of "what can we do to kill the giant." I'm sure that is some motivating factor.
But the biggest factor is green. It's just like the Oklahoma State story isn't a story unless Miles is involved, which is why they are playing up that angle as much as they possibly can. Otherwise, who cares.
You have to read these pieces understanding the motives of the so-called investigative journalist. They are ACTIVELY sniffing out any crumbs to bring down a big program so they can get paid. It's not like they just stumble upon something and follow up on it. They are going in not on some moral justice seeking purpose, but with dollar signs in their eyes.

Feel pretty confident that the powers that be will try and keep the SEC from winning it all this year

So when the media goes after JFF with literally nothing more than rumors for evidence, everyone is all "OMG JFF is the scum of the earth. frick him and texAs A&M. Cheaters!!"
But when the media comes out with a misconduct story and has actual proof and substantial evidence, everyone is like "the media is scum and out to get us!!"
Seriously?

I don't know if anything is tied together but shite just in the past few months.
Johnny Manziel thing - TAMU
Rape thing - Vandy
Aaron Hernandez plus arrest records with Meyer - UF
OSU stuff trying to tie Les Miles in - LSU
Free benifits, shady dealings - Bama, MSU, Tenn
Half the conference is dealing with some shite whether it's true or not. It's bad press and it's all being brought down on the SEC.
