Summer's wrapping up, and we're (begrudgingly) putting the bikinis in the back of our drawers and digging out our second most favorite attire: football jerseys. Time to dust off the body paint, the team sweatshirts, party beads, face tattoos, baby cheerleader outfits, and doggy costumes, and fire up the grill: it's tailgating season.
1. Auburn
2. USC
3. Bama
4. LSU
5. OM

Congrats!
Great place to work, great place to tailgate. All you need now is some wins.

I always thought it was funny that when you tailgate in Auburn, it's by a huge building that says "Agriculture."

Auburn administration has tried its best over the last few years to ruin its great tailgaiting with all of the new restrictions, restricted areas they keep putting in.

I think it's kind of funny that this writer ranked Auburn #1 then proceeds to not mention a single thing about the actual tailgating on game day. He sure is mesmerized by extra parking spots though.
eta: Even funnier that it's a food blogger and not a single thing mentioned about any food.

Went to Auburn this past September. Very nice campus and very good tailgating atmosphere and for the most part, cordial and friendly people.
All the ones listed are nice but IMO I'd put LSU and Penn State at the top followed closely by Ole Miss, then Auburn and Bama.

I definitely have fun in Tuscaloosa on game day but I have two complaints:
1) Way too crowded. There isn't a way to get around this, though, other than losing; which I would fully support.
2) State fair/flea market atmosphere with all the food and clothing vendors.

Never been to a USC game, but Auburn, Bama, LSU and Ole Miss are definitely great.
No problem with this list.

It should be no surprise that 'Bama consistently ranks as one of the best schools for tailgating, from Bleacher Report to Southern Living. Heck, there's even the Tailgate Beer and the Alabama Tailgate Cookbook - does that solidify its ranking near the top? Crowds on the quad on Game Day are estimated to top 100,000 fans for the bigger rivalries, like LSU or Texas A&M. Before you start singing "Roll Tide," slam down a Yellowhammer (yep, it's a drink that really does exist) and get ready to root for the number-one seeded college team this year.
I'll just leave this here.

probably cause out in the middle of a field, that is all there is to do...nothing wrong with that of course but what else is there to do when people come in to town for a game at Auburn? Many of the other SEC schools are in towns that actually have other shite going on...
