But in Bountygate they had video of coach Williams telling players to "kill" the other guys and such in teem meetings
Wouldn't that be the same thing with Manziel talking about the extra money for the inscriptions or that "they never met"? Obviously, Williams didn't want the Saints players to "kill" opponents

to the moron that wrote that crap's credit... he was right about these two things..
I'm in the process of reading some other of his gems, but a lot are missing because they were in the ATPB thread that got deleted.

An East Coast autograph broker told ESPN on Tuesday that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel was paid $7,500 for signing approximately 300 mini- and full-sized helmets while he was attending the Walter Camp Football Foundation event back in January.
Here's a little from our newser:
"The broker played two cell phone videos for ESPN showing Manziel signing white Texas A&M helmets and footballs laid out on a bed in a hotel room. The video does not show Manziel accepting any money.
The broker said the room was at The Omni in New Haven, Conn., during the Camp event. He said the signing took place at three different times on Jan. 11-12, totaling about an hour.
The broker said the videos, approximately nine minutes in length in total, were initially shot only to be used as proof with authenticating company PSA/DNA."
quote:
ESPN heard on the videos, which the broker said were recorded without the quarterback's knowledge, Manziel say "you never did a signing with me" and that if the broker told anyone, he wouldn't deal with him again. ESPN also heard a broker ask Manziel if he would take additional cash for the signings, but Manziel declined and indicated he had done that before, but that it had led to questions.
The videos don't show Manziel accepting any cash, but the broker alleged it happened three times. The broker also said he doesn't plan on cooperating with the NCAA as it conducts its investigation on Manziel.
Last sentence means it's a nonstory and nothing will come of it. It's just about publicity.

Litigation brings subpoena power...Neither aTm or the Manziels will want to go down this road...
Depends on how well they covered their tracks. If the Manziel's were smart about it, it wont matter.

Yeah they aren't a government entity, they are a corporation.

My best friend's wife is from Tyler, and has some very interesting stories about the Manziel's.
I think you need to talk to that woman, then start you own thread about what you find out. You will get 10 pages from me alone, just because I think this is all fascinating.

I don't want him to play another down of CFB... BTW, you should know that Manziel has threatened transfer to another school if Sumlin sits him. It is also going around Tyler that Daddy plans to sue the school if necessary as well.
That school? The longhorns. That message is coming from boosters I know at both A&M and UT in the past few months.
At this point, the school is between a rock and a hard place. If they sit him, they face a suit from the family, and if they play him, they face an NCAA investigation. What would you do?

Can anyone tell me if super ag has been through here recently to bump this thread and keep it going?

The video was taken in a state where non-consent is grounds for lawsuits and inadmissibility.
Irrelevant to NCAA

: Nobody has said money is ever mentioned or seen in the video. Will they be willing to suspend him for saying "I was never here"?
YES...See Dez Bryant. He was found to have done NOTHING wrong..but, he LIED about it...GONE
And, IF the broker testifies to NCAA investigators, that would be enough.
I TRULY hope he gets to play. The kid is not unlikeable, to me. And, he is a joy to watch play.

Nope

video evidence from the games themselves that showed a clear intent to injure even after the play.
Not true.
That said, I think the NCAA is going to be a bit more careful than usual here because of who the player is and because of all the amped up heat they're already taking about amateurism here lately (the Ed O'Bannon suit, for instance).

I honestly think nothing will come of this.

Of course not, but a court of law still has the right to overturn the NCAA ruling and, if said ruling is based on something inadmissible in court, it would get thrown out.
That all depends on how deep Manziel is willing to let them go into his life, though.

The video will get out, the broker is reportedly shopping it...someone will buy it.
