In 2012 Tennessee averaged less than 90,000 fans per game in a 102,000+ seat stadium.
It would probably be wise to pump the brakes on any sort of expansion of Neyland.

I assumed your periods were just syncing up that day.

it's not my fault your rendering artists suck. All the others are aerial views of the stadiums, that was the closest thing I could find for y'all. The other one that cat recommended shows the outside view of one part of the stadium.

Death Valley will still be the loudest
Putting 102K into Kyle Field is going to be tough to top.
lol
We're putting 10,000 more seats and trapping the noise in one endzone with another upper deck in what is already the loudest stadium in America...I think we can hold our own.
103,000 people in a closed off upper deck endzone Death Valley will certainly vibrate some more eyeballs.

It was because at the time they hadn't settled on an architect, which they did yesterday. It's not even an official rendering (obviously). They won't reveal the official renderings until October (per yesterday's LHL). That was just a very, very rough deal that was attached to actual computer renderings of the construction specifics so they could pitch for bonding.
FWIW, it's the same company that did the Olsen Field renovation (Texas A&M Baseball), built MetLife Stadium, and have several members involved who participated in the renovations/expansions of Bryant-Denny, Tiger Stadium, and Razorback Stadium.

I actually agree with you. I don't know if we will be able to fill 70,000 right away
You probably will for big games like LSU and Alabama. Those already sell out and draw in the 60s, don't they?

I imagine this meeting went along the lines of:
Firm: It will cost x,xxx amount of dollars to have something drawn up in autocad/photoshop.
Kentucky AD: Here's a box of crayons and a white sheet of paper.

They get up between 61-63k when when we have a respectable team

Are they actually adding them this time, and not just narrowing the seats again?

Was not a sellout last time around when we went there and were ranked #1 in the country.

Calm down tiger, no one is going to top DV as the loudest stadium.
