I have seen some ridiculous stories in my life, but I think the bar has been set at a new low. FRONT PAGE NEWS (college football front page, anyway) that Clowney says a rival QB is afraid of him, and FRONT PAGE NEWS AGAIN when the QB says "No I'm not".

We have reached the end of the internet, at least as far as sports is concerned.

There could be some sort of actual journalism done, like maybe an investigation or interview with the ACC guy who wants to eject Clowney based on a form tackle

Could write a piece on what they think are the most underrated games in the first college weekend. There are a lot of pretty good headliners but I haven't seen any under the radar games

I know it's the offseason, but to actually publicize "you're scared of me" - "No I'm not" is ridiculous. Write up SOMETHING about someone's playing ability or give us a breakdown of backup return men in the top 25. Just about anything is better than this - this story is the "Honey Boo Boo" of sports journalism.

It seems like everyone else's media days have been more focused on responding to the SEC or talking about the SEC than discussing their own conference.

Even the Fox Sports guy covering Big 12 media days was talking about how he hates to watch the boring old SEC games.

The jealousy from other conferences is palpable right now. I heard a Nebraska sports talk show going on and on about how fans of Auburn and Tennessee shouldn't be able to run their mouths about being in the SEC because they've never won BCS games. Apparently history has been ammended without my knowledge.

I would like them to do more entertaining pieces in the offseason.

Maybe, pick your 5 biggest upsets for the upcoming year and why? What teams/conferences would you like to see matched up in bowl games if you had a say. Overrated traditions, underrated rivalries, top games they've ever seen, top 5 gimmick plays

I don't care but give me something entertaining

Lately they should just keep tabs on the Columbus Police blotter. That should keep them the page views rolling in for a couple of weeks...

I guess Boyd hasn't been scared the last couple of years in which Clowney has at least 5.5 sacks on him, so if he wants to keep that same mentality go for it.

Why would he be scared of a player who will be ruled ineligible due to improper contact with an agency?

So you are saying Boyd started these rumors out of fear and now he's not scared because he thinks he got one over on everyone?

Show me this rule that states a player can't talk to an agency. I'll wait.
