This is something discussed on a daily basis throughout the conference, in any and every sport.

Personally, I never root for another SEC team and always find myself rooting against them.

How do you feel about the other teams?
Do you root for some and hope to see others in despair?

What says the rant?

I am not a member of Team SEC. I do cheer for certain teams if they are playing OOC though...UF, USCe, or if like Vandy is playing NW. I'll cheer for OM when they play Texas for example.

I will cheer against Bama, UGA, and MSU if I feel like giving them my attention...which is rare.

Vandy and Kentucky are probably the only SEC teams I root for against OOC teams.

ETA: i'll also pull for SEC teams if they are playing a team ranked higher than UA so we can move up in the polls.

I "root" for Auburn.

I watch other games for entertainment purposes. I attended the Bama-UGA SECCG. I was the only person who truly enjoyed the entire 60 minutes. A Bama fan next to me had to go stand on the concourse because Bama was behind. Weird? Yes, but effective

I root for other SEC teams, because the War of Northern Aggression left a chip on my shoulder the size of the state of Ohio.

I like to see some teams lose and some teams win. I usually will cheer for LSU and Ole Miss for example. And I usually hope UF and UA DIAF for example.

Trust me, coming from the crazy house that is the big 12 makes me appreciate the value of a cohesive strong conference. A rising tides lifts all boats, if you will.

I don't root for anyone but my own two teams, UCF and LSU.

My only exception is SCar, and only because of Spurrier. My dad was a walk-on pitcher for Florida back in the day, so I grew up a Gator fan. Spurrier is still my favorite coach in the business. Oddly enough, he played @LSU this past season, and he'll be @UCF in a few months.

I was obviously rooting for LSU, and I hope that UCF can somehow stage an upset in a few months. It was still great seeing him on the sidelines at Tiger Stadium, and I might make the trip to Orlando as well.

I'm much more interested in games that a fellow SEC team is playing in, but unless they're not much of a threat (ex. Vandy or Ole Miss) I won't root for them very hard. An exception for this is when the OOC team is a team I hate (ex. Bama vs ND)

It must be a Confederate living in the past thing - because no other conference does this. SEC! SEC! SEC!

Conferences are business arrangements - it's like rooting for Dunkin' Doughnuts because you own Crispy Kreme and belong to the same doughnut Union...even though, Dunkin' selling more doughnuts than you - isn't good for your business.

I'll root for the SEC if it benefits or has no effect on LSU. Why cheer for another program competing with yours?

I like seeing some of the smaller SEC schools like Vandy, UK and the Mississippi schools do well, since they are not known to be football powerhouses, but that's about it.

Other than that, if you're not wearing Crimson and White (or houndstooth), then frick you.
