What a drive. Murray, Ingram, Tre’Quan, Hill, and Landry all getting in on the action.
re: New Big 12 looking impressive

On the field, the New Big 12 is easily ahead of the PAC, and I’d argue the ACC as well.
It should be a fun league, with a lot of teams being able to win any given year. How the future TV contracts break out without the blue bloods is the question.

lol @ the slight hesitation by the Baylor WR before he just runs through Ole Miss’ DB.

The CFP didn’t change shite. We went from a playoff of 2 to a playoff of 4. That isn’t some cataclysmic event that shook the foundation of college football. You want to see why the sport is going downhill, it’s $$$’s growing influence plus ESPN and the shite job they do.
Let’s start with ESPN pulling all the strings with conferences, forcing realignment, and destroying rivalries and conferences across the country.

re: This is not the best G5 team ever

Not even a top 5 G5 team.

The second-best team in the AAC shouldn't be competitive with a 6-6 SEC team.
How did the best team in the SEC do against these two 6-6 SEC teams the AAC beat?
re: Would Cincinnati winning the national championship be best for college football?

Cincinnati would obviously be the best for the game by a long (long) shot, but Michigan winning would also be good.
re: College football is dying a slow death

At least LSU is in a good spot to weather things. It truly sucks to be a G5 now. So many of the diamond in the rough guys that G5 schools traditionally rely on to develop and compete with P5 teams are going to transfer out once they get a little success.

At least our 2017 team went 4-0 against teams that finished in the Top 25. Beat 8 teams with 7+ wins.
BYU’s beat 0 teams that finished ranked and only 2 teams with 7+ wins.

Horrible to see the cart come out at the end of a game like this.
re: Michigan has the best helmets and fight song in college football.

Definitely no to the fight song. Helmets are kinda cool I guess.
re: Curb Your Enthusiasm season 11 started tonight

Larry and Mary Ferguson III walking in on Leon and his friend going to town on a dozen watermelons had me rolling.
Episodes 1 and 2 were weak, but 3 and 4 were right back to being classic Curb.
I did like the running gag of Netflix and Hulu executives being white but having an intentionally diverse supporting cast of yes people with them.

Was a painful one to watch in person but that’s cfb for ya. GG.
re: Athletes/coaches who couldn't get it done until they did

Tom Osborne and Nebraska is the poster child for this. 20 years of being a contender and he finally wins in 3 of his last 4 years.
re: Most Hours In A Week That You Worked

I did 98 hrs/wk when I was working offshore. Longest shift was two months straight of it.
I was doing fun shite though and I was 26, so it really didn't feel like much at the time.

re: Who has had the better football resume since 2000 - LSU or Ohio State?

I'd take the extra championship over the slight advantages everywhere else for Ohio State.
re: Any LSU fans hate Bama anymore?
Posted by TheBuescherMan on 1/17/20 at 11:49 am
I just want to beat them again. And again. I moved to Louisiana eight years ago, and it’s been all losses until this year. To say that was satisfying would be an understatement.
re: Memphis or smu?
Posted by TheBuescherMan on 11/2/19 at 2:29 pm
Would like SMU to win, but I’ve gotta take Memphis here. Mike Norvell surely can’t lose every big game at Memphis.

Chinander was bad even when he was with us. He’s gotta be on a short leash.

I’ve rooted for Frost since he left us, but there’s still a small feeling of satisfaction in watching Nebraska lose to Purdue two years in a row.
