Trying to force a rivalry with ATM is pretty adorable seeing as how they already play rivalry games yearly against both Flagships.

aTm and LSU was a rivalry a long time ago.

I wouldn't mind a real rival though.

But I think we could agree that there is no real advantage in having a real rival.

I mean look at Ole Miss football compared to LSU football.

I knows this is a flame but many on this board are too young to remember that aTm was a rival of LSU for a while. This isn't forced

They've tried to be Bama's rival for some time now. Bama has declined, the Gumps just love LSU too much!

We've played LSU 51 times, going back to 1899, and it was a yearly game for a very long time, and the rivalry was very real.

This is a renewal; it's not new.

Are you saying Ole Miss isn't worthy enough? I thought the Magnolia Bowl was a semi-rivalry?

We're just too polite. We get a rival, and then they start to suck. Look at Tulane and Ole Miss. We don't wish that on anyone else.

We don't mind a rival. We've had two, and we've killed them both. Back in the early 20th century, Tulane was a badass rival. We killed them with 24 years without a loss. Then, until the '70s, it was Ole Miss. Then we killed them.

Next?
