There is a lot of back and forth on that one. There are enough people (mostly LSU fans since they are the biggest fan base here but they are not alone) that go into threads about gymnastics and such saying that it isn't a sport and that no one cares about it. I couldn't tell you which came first, but I would have to think a thread about girls sports would initially get more "no one cares" and flames than a thread about a boys sport. There is definitely back and forth and we are not the only guilty party.
ETA: It is entirely possible that someone went into a thread like that and asked why we care so much about women's sports and aren't starting threads about baseball. Some posters decide that admitting they are fair-weather about baseball isn't a good idea, so the party line is "We don't care about Bama baseball."

I don't jump into the baseball threads...well...ever, because I'm just not a college baseball guy. I love MLB and I love baseball in general, but I can't get into college. So yeah, I can see how a bunch of drive-by "baseball sucks" type posts would be irritating. Those people are tards. Baseball is awesome. But I figured out a long time ago that it's easier to just disregard those types. This site desperately needs an ignore feature.

Which is stupid. You couldn't pay me to willingly sit through a women's basketball game, but that doesn't mean I thought it was OK for the university to put up with Wendell Hudson coaching us to a next to last place finish in a good year. You can care without being a fan of the sport.

The saying of LSU started football in 2000 is ridiculous. We have 11 SEC titles. We have been playing great football long before Saban got here.

Interestingly, the rise in popularity of LSU fans with their naseball program, coincided with their football program javing one of the worste decades in SEC history, while its nefore uncared about baseball team jad the best decade in SEC history.
For them it was like, "hey, at least were good at something, even if it just baseball."

Until bama (or any other fan base for matter of fact) starts paying our bills I don't give a damn what they think.
You can find people anywhere who will argue that don't enjoy college football, basketball, baseball, track, and etc. However, the universities with achieving programs are obviously going to brag over the lesser programs in the conference. LSU is great at baseball DWI, SUCCESS BRINGS FANS, It doesn't take a 7 page thread to discover that.

I wouldn't want to cheer for any other team
