"Chasing squirrels has become a right of passage for Auburn running backs trying to prove their speed"

"Tre Mason follows in Onterio McCalebb's footsteps, continuing Auburn's squirrel-chasing legacy "

"Mason has been chasing squirrels to test his speed since September when late Monday he tweeted: "Just caught my first squirrel."

"Onterio McCalebb famously caught a squirrel on a recruiting trip to AU to prove his speed.

The squirrel made a fatal mistake when it came to attempting to outrun a AU runningback.

He went toward the sideline. No one in America can get there faster than an AU RB.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but if that was a wild squirrel, he'd have multiple holes through his fingers. Those bastards bite and bite HARD.

Squirrels have no chance now that the trees are gone off the plains.

If that was a damn wild squirrel, it would be chewing on his damn hand.

This is the first I have heard of this, but I would give anything to see footage of them diving for squirrels.

This is a key reason why I said he should be ranked higher in the thread "Top 25 SEC RB's for 2013"
