LSU players, Miles on possibility of gay teammate coming out

Miles - If he has the "chest" and a serious WANT to win, and will contribute to a damn strong football team, he can play. On the other hand, he was pretty imperative that only girls should find the players after the game and give them a kiss

I'm still trying to integrate " It would have to be something that I took to an office and kind of describe how I saw locker rooms " in context of a gay player...without getting banned.

Sort of.
Sounded more like a hedge along the lines of "Well, it would make the locker room and hotel situation a little weird and we'd need to chat about that as a team and work it out somehow."
It's a legit concern. I wonder how the military is handling that now.

Stephen Rivers- "If you can play, you can play". This attitude is becoming more and more common among athletes, especially the more educated ones
Les Miles- You can play for LSU, but you're going to be treated differently
I really like what Rivers said, personally. If we can accept people like Ray Lewis and glorify them, why is it so goddamn terrible to accept someone that's attracted to men?

The real question is why is the press asking the LSU football team these questions?
My guess is that they were looking for a big bomb to be dropped and run with it. Alfred Blue took the bait a little bit, but Miles handles it like a pro by side stepping it all together.
The press is looking for a gay football story so bad it is killing them.

I don't believe in transsexuals, personally. But if they are to play sports, they should play the level of the gender that they're pretending to be.
