I don't see the problem with it. Bama didn't win the conference in 2011, but won the NC. Or LSU winning the SEC in 2011 but not the NC... Celebrate your accomplishments.

The players were part of the winningest single season in school history. I see nothing wrong with letting them have something to remember it by.

Oh no! Not 11-Win Rings!! We'll never be able to be the same again. Recruits will see this and never want to come around this program again.
Oh wait no, we got a commit today that had offers from at least 9 other SEC schools, guess they don't care. Our program is saved.

It get why they did it last year but it's gotten lame. Seems like Spurrier would say no more rings until a SEC or national championship.
