I miss the part where Tennessee was supposed to rise.

Well, I would expect the rise to be as short as the first post!

I watched the first half. That was awesome.

The fall was the moment you(Vol PTB) allowed Foolmer to baststab JM.
The rise was the Foolmer gold you got during Happy McDoughnut's tenure as HC(which wasnt long)
Now you are in the "CFB" death spiral.Aint no comin back from that for UT,you just aint good enough.

So the fall was losing to the eventual national champions in the SECCG to going 5-7 and going to your 4th different coach in as many years. What part exactly is their "rise"? The hiring of a coach that was semi-successful at a small mid to small D1 school coughDOOLEYcough or the landing of a few good recruits cough'07'09cough?

But on a serious note.
This has been covered, but unless they get an excellent coach, Tennessee is one power that's never going to come back.
You can't compare them to Bama, Texas or Ohio St. Those schools have natural recruiting grounds in their home state like those schools do. Coming back won't come as easy to Tenn. as it was for them. Most recruits today were in elementary school the last time Tenn was relevent.
Tennessee doesn't have the name brand it had 20 years ago and can't rely on instate talent that grew up UT fans to bring them back. It will take a huge name coach to perform a miracle to bring them back, and a former Cincinatti coach isn't going to do that.
Unfortunately Tenn. may never come back. Kind of like Pitt was back in the day in CFB, but now is largely ignored and irrelevent.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Tennessee.... but man, I don't know if I'd actually wish Lane Kiffin on anyone.

That is sad - it really is. I had no idea UT has fallen this far. Seriously. Can you imagine a video having to be made like that a decade ago?
It's sad, it really is. Never thought I would see the day.

Everybody knows the initial cause of the fall of UT football was the Hobnail Boot, surprised nobody has mentioned it yet. Drastically altered the UGA-UT series and kicked off the Mark Richt era which hindered UT recruiting in GA.
Or maybe it was just David Cutcliffe leaving followed by a healthy dose of shite at OC before and after his return.
Either way, I almost want UT to be good again and Carolina to start being Carolina again. An unfilled Neyland seems morally wrong.

I didn't watch the video. I assume it was all about butt chugging.

We will know in a few months. Not from an article or commits on the recruiting trail.
