I imagine there aren't a lotta JUCO courses that'd transfer over & count as credits at the institute...

Can someone explain to me how athletes who usually aren't as smart as a regular student wanting to gain access to a high profile college, are afforded lower acceptability standards?

Good question.

Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson told GT Athletic Department:
1) Incoming SAT score avg >1400 this year
2) Football APR is top 10%

Doesn't seem like everyone has the same standards... 1 JUCO transfer in 22 years(a punter)

(recruiting stat of the day)

GT verbal commits' 2014 GPA:

Freeman 4.0
Klock 3.8
Durham 3.3
Merriweather 4.1
Lance Austin 3.5
Lawerence Austin 3.5
Tre Jackson 3.92
Jalen Johnson 3.5
Matthew Jordan 4.08
Qua Searcey - ? not listed
Preddy 2.9
Miles Taylor - His is a good 3 something and that's saying a lot at school like Gonzaga
Caleb Kinlaw 3.75
Jake Stickler 4.3

All 3 stars, Georgia Tech is recruiting its arse off

Yeah, let's not get into this bullsht... Just know that Arizona St has 18 former JUCO players currently on their roster and it's a formula being used to succeed in college football. Dawgs slim at a position? Call their JUCO buddies and its on.

Meanwhile, Mark Richt gets emotional about the Dawgs not bending when it comes to UGA's drug policy.

Jacob Park's stats from Stratford's 2 quarter scrimmage vs James Island HS in Charleston last night...

quote:

Park's stats:
5-5
271 yards
3 TDs

He also had a 70 yard completion called back due to a penalty.

The three TDs were 70, 90 & 75 yards.

The 75-yarder was on a screen, the other 2 were downfield throws.

James Island, fwiw, isn't exactly top shelf football talent, if you know what I mean. And what I mean is that their players aren't very good, if you know what I mean. Yes, I know a place in JI where you can buy cocaine from a syndicate of guys who probably played football in the past, but it's really just a couple of streets.

Ben LeMay is supposed to be the best of the bunch.

We should time it up right with Taj Griffin and Eric Swinney in 2015 and LeMay in 2016

Lorenzo Carter is overrated as hell. Booker T. Washigton Fl killn him. He's getting pancaked out there. He's gonna drop like crazy in all the ratings after a poor summer showing and this game. If he pass on us, its starting to look like no big deal.

After watching the game tonight, Carter screams bust. It's not just that he got beat, because skills can be taught. He quit, though, and that shows a lack of desire that you can't have. Lacked the fight you need to see.

Still a take, but I don't see what separates him from someone like Davin Bellamy in 2013. He's a good prospect with great upside, but he's no 5 star imo.

I'd love to get him, but I'd rather get someone like Rashaan Evans
