Lots of unhappy LSU fans out there right now. Tigah nation is growing more and more restless as we continue to rack up NCs, esp since they've declared us their rival.

What sort of season would it take to get Miles out and a good coach in? An Auburn-type disaster season going winless in sec? or would it take less?

Who would take Les? Would he end up just doing high school summer football camps? I don't feel like he'd land a good job after getting the shove from LSU.

Jeff Long is looking fricking psychic right now. Just baited LSU into signing Miles for 7 more years for a whooooole bunch of cash. Now look what they get.

Your team got embarrassed by a Big East team and you're talking about us.

I would take him.

LSU fans always overreact to a loss. It is ridiculous.

It was a bowl game. It happens. Les is not perfect, but he wins 80% of his games and LSU competes for championships every year. He is one year removed from an SEC title and spending 9 weeks ranked #1 in the country.

I am just fine. It seems that you are wanting him gone, though.

Is your team not playing for the championship tomorrow? Why are you so worried about LSU?

Miles has won enough at LSU to receive what I call the Mack Brown treatment.

As long as he wins 9+ games every year, or can logically argue that his team is young and will be a serious contender soon, he'll stay as long as he likes. It will get to the point where everybody wants him gone, everybody knows he should be gone, but nobody has the nads to do anything about it. It would take a truly abysmal 4-8 type year (or a scandal) with absolutely no hope going forward for him to be forcibly removed.

The guy has the closest thing to tenure there is in CF.

Ice needs to do another clean house on the trolling. Maybe that will force more creativity. Not sure what the Arkansas posters would do.

Les is not going anywhere..if he left lsu fans would lose their mind..so I'm not buying they want him gone.
And unless he takes a Texas like nosedive and start getting blown out then I don't see it.

He could probably survive an 8-4 season.

He won't ever get fired from LSU either.. he will retire in 3 or so years.

I wouldn't hire him. He has all the telnet in the world on his back step, but he finds ways to make them inept. He finds ways to stifle their progress. He finds ways to lose games those players already won.

The dude is overrated. Funny as hell, but shite as a coach.

You guys were a last second FG away from an 11-2 season and a poorly-covered screen pass away from playing in the SEC-CG and maybe heading to South Beach to play for the national title. I can't make excuses for the Florida game. That was a friggin disgrace.

The truth is that it takes some luck to win an NC. Best a coach can do is field good teams and then hope the make-or-break bounces go their way (injuries, ego/chemistry problems, those random 1-play bounces that decide a game). Despite yalls annual qb issues, Les seems to do that.

Miles teams will never have an Auburn like season just b/c of talent alone. He will more so be like Richt and just be mediocre the rest of his career. Alot of 3-4 loss type yrs in a row will get him canned.

I've been preaching this about Miles the entire time. I was the one before last year's championship game, about the only LSU person, saying I wasn't convinced he had magically become this great coach everybody was saying. After the history of what he's done? Sure enough, he was clueless and as dumbfounded as the looks on JJ's face.

Some say Chavis is the only reason Les has been able to stay afloat, but I've know John since he was at Alabama A&M. He can make some great BBQ (his secret is beer), but he's no defensive genius either. He's very good, but not great. I remember at A&M where everybody at practice was asking him for his secret and when he finally gave it up, practice nearly stopped as everybody listened in.

I predict it will not end well for Les here, but hey he is fun to watch for the comedy factor, if nothing else.
