What is your favorite bowl loss excuse?

Our team didn't care about being in that bowl.
Our opponent should have never been in the bowl because:
a. they didn't win their division
b. they didn't win their conference
The field beat us not the other team.
It meant more to the the other team.
The other conference's Refs are tired of SEC dominance, so we had to take a loss for the "team". You are welcome SEC.

LSU didn't really care to be in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
If Alabama loses tomorrow night, I can just say that Notre Dame was #1 for a reason.

That my favorite one as well. Message board posters always have their finger on the pulse of the team and their thoughts towards the bowl.

I know it's better to have an excuse for why your team went 10-3 than to lose to a 4th place sunbelt team. I know that's a fact.

One of the State excuses was "Northwestern shouldn't have even been playing us because the BCS screwed them".

I always like the "We didn't have a frickin coach so our players could care less about that game and quit. Besides, with 2 first round running backs, they weren't going to risk injury. Glad we could make it your Super Bowl though." excuse.

Hold on, isn't Arky 4-8 in bowl games? If anyone can tell us about bowl losses it's Arky fans. How did it feel to lose your bowl game this year Dale? Did it feel as good as the day y'all fired BP?
