What are you basing that on? The SEC has already said it was not a legal hit. What are we missing from their analysis released today that converts it back to a legal hit, FT8?

Hmmmm, the league office doesn't think so.

Look at the GIF I just posted. Murray was moving towards our ball carrier, about 7 feet in front of him. He got blocked. Where the frick is the penalty? Defenders get blocked ALL THE TIME like that without penalty. What exactly did dial do wrong?

I don't give a frick what the SEC office says. That GIF shows that Dial did NOTHING wrong.

If you actually read the article, Shaw actually said

quote:

"What the determination needs to be is was this a defenseless player and was contact initiated above the shoulders? When we go through video review of it, that's what we'll have to determine. And then you as you break it down, did he lead with the head or lead with the shoulder? From game action, it was a personal foul regardless of how we break it down frame by frame."

So he is saying there was a penalty regardless of how you break it down before you break it down?

He's really playing with words here. Sounds like he's splitting his words.

So...in live action it's a penalty regardless...but once it is broken down on film...he determines it's not a penalty b/c he hasn't determined that yet.

What a joke.

Also, Aaron Murray said today, "My head wasn't hurting, but I couldn't catch my breath."

ie, he was hit in the chest, not the head you dumbasses.

That hit to the "chest" really snapped his neck. Weird.

The best part about this whole situation is when Copeland did the EXACT SAME THING in the Bama-LSU game I guarantee 90% of the Bama fans on this site and in this thread called it dirty and said Copeland was a thug POS in some thread on here. Dial, however, is just a good, hard nosed football player for the same type of block in the eyes of a gump. You guys really do need to climb down off y'alls high horse on this on.

Further away, Alabama player the second furthest away from the tackle. Hash line to the sideline is 60 feet, numbers are roughly in the middle. So I guess between 10-15 yards away. Also, impact was on the back of the shoulder instead of the front of the player.

Hey, it's the entire game at this link

Also hit in the chest.

Chadrick Jones

Look he clearly led with his shoulder. Cannot be helmet to helmet per Crimson Legend's post two pages back. That's how this works.

yup. See, that's how physics work.

Thought that goes without saying.

Would you also like to know what 2 + 2 is?

It was a dirty play and Dial should be suspended for the BCSNCG. It won't change the outcome of the game though. Bama is to talented for ND

What are you going to do for running backs

When RBs lead in with their helmets, they get knocked the F out and there's almost never a flag on the defender.

who take infinitely more hits to the head than any QB

The QB is almost always defenseless.

Contact to the head is part of the game, that is why they wear helemts.

Who cares if they're all punch drunk stupid by their mid-40's, cause that's great for the future of the game.

How so? Please, explain to me how Murray was not a defender, and was not in front of our ball carrier(who was still running), moving towards him. Explain, PLEASE.

as your gif shows the tackle is being made away from Murray while he is being headbutted to the ground away from the play.

The SEC has already suspended players this year for intent. Dial sure as frick intended to deliver a knockout shot on Murray and his helmet was all up in Murray's ear hole.
