I'm just curious to know what some of you think. After last year I expected them to be juggernauts this year. I knew the defense would be solid, which it is and the offense was supposed to make a leap forward. LSU is still one of the most talented and deep teams in the country which is why it baffles me as to why they are struggling a bit. On the right day they can beat anyone in the country. Do you LSU'ers think it's:

1. Poor offensive play calling
2. Injuries
3. No continuity on offense
4. Poor quarterback play
5. Les Miles
6. Team not focused
7. Losing HB7 (dynamic game changer)
8. Other coaching changes (QB, OL line, Coordinator, etc?)
9. Other

Which combination of these do you think it is? Feel free to add more. I can admit now that at 1st I didn't really like Les Miles but have grown to respesct him as a coach because I think he has balls. His 1st 2 years especially....some of his play calling was borderline insane but he gambled and it worked most of the time. That showed he had confidence in his players. Nick Saban would piss me off at times because sometimes he can be a bit too conservative. Wouldn't trade him for anyone in the world though but I admire Miles guts and his players seem to play hard for him. Sabans players are scared of him...lol whatever works.

I hated TN when they had the upper hand on us for about 9 years straight. Now I feel somewhat sorry for them.(Somewhat!!!!) I don't look forward to the Bama/TN game like I use to and thats not good although I think this year it's going to be a good game. My point is, I hope the game (LSU/Bama) is competative. I actually wanted yall to beat FL so we could be the 1st to when yall come to T-town. Nothing like a game when both teams are undefeated.

to a competative and injury free game from both teams on Nov 3rd. I'll hang up and listen.

They're offensive line blows. Had trouble up front defensively late in the game to and were getting gashed by Florida's run game.

Loss of talent on the defensive side and beliefs in false prophets at the QB position.

Their back ups last year who are not starters are showing why they were back ups, Les Miles plays the best at each position.

Re-shuffled poor o-line play that has played against two great pass rushing d-lines in Florida and Auburn forcing Les Miles to go incredibly conservative on offense because he doesn't trust his young QB and WRs that can't create separation.

Injuries/suspensions are the biggest problem. We're down to our 3rd string linebacker at one spot and have lost 6 other starters for the year. I don't care who you are that takes a toll.

Injuries and suspensions. A huge chunk of play makers on both sides of the ball have been lost to those two. Very few starters left from last year's squad.

It sucks big time, but could be worse.

Les' greatest attribute was his ability to pull a rabbit out of his arse.He has been living off of talent and luck for years.Im afraid his act has run it's course and his deficiences are being exposed.

coaching.. no doubt in my mind. I've always thought it played a bigger role in the grand scheme of things, but it became evident in the complete 360 of the hogs and my team this year.

Coaching and schemes are everything. Our defense is a bigger example... We've gone from being complete crap, to keeping us in games.

les miles is the biggest problem. Nick saban has urban meyered him. LSU created the monster that nick saban is today and it has killed off one of our coaches now.

LSU fans complain about Miles every year. They did last year, until he beat Bama in November. They didn't complain about him again until after the BCSNCG.

It's lack of leadership. By watching the team play..... It sure appears that there isn't much team discipline. Nobody holding players accountable, on Off for sure. If some are not getting it done, give someone else a shot.

The biggest of their problems are the injuries on the O line, poor QB play, predictable play calling.
