Your offense looked great last weekend once Shaw decided to quit.

This is Richt's 12th year. In his previous 11, we've gone:

worse than 8-4 twice,
8-4 once, and
better than 8-4 8 times, and will do it again this year for 9.

Soooo basically, I'm asking what the frick are you talking about?

This is the real answer -- just as USC proved itself the better team the last two years.

Lou is a real USC homer. In his mind, we are second only to Notre Dame. So, yeah, you have to consider the source.

That being said, for the last 3-4 years, the teams have been pretty evenly matched. USC doesn't quite have the star ratings in recruiting, but have pretty much equaled the Dawgs with good evaluations and player development.

Comparing the units:
QB- Edge to Georgia [although UGA QB's don't seem to play well against USC].
RB- Slight Edge to USC -- based on Todd Gurley looking really good and some question as to whether Lattimore is 100%. Gurley has actually looked better than Lattimore so far.
OL- Slight Edge to USC.
TE- Edge to USC.
WR- Edge to UGA.
DL- Slight edge to USC.
LB- Slight edge to UGA. UGA has more talent; we have all seniors.
DB- Edge to UGA. We have talent, but are thin on depth and experience.
ST- Dunno; think we both suck.

Historically UGA had much more depth, such that we could play them close when the game was early but we faded as the season wore on, while they got relatively better. This is no longer the case.

To answer the original question, no, I don't think USC has a better team this year. But that doesn't mean dick. USC has won plenty of times when they didn't have the better team and I cetainly wouldn't wager on the game this year.

And Lou Holtz is ridiculous. He has gone downhill since his coaching days.

I agree with this....I don't think UGA ever really looks bood....

Probably! I know y'all are new to the SEC but it willnot take long to figure out that Georgia has the potential to look bood at times but they are an 8-4 team almost every year.

close...under Spurrier, USCe is 55-35 over 7 years. That averages to 8-5...

Wait, you were talking about Georgia? I think you got your programs mixed up. And you are right...they do look bood at times.

No, he's just a flaming fricking idiot who for some reason has a personal vendetta against georgia. Since we're such a lowly, worthless program and his is the best of all time for ever and ever I wonder why he even bothers.

But alas, he does.

Georgia's offense is rolling. If they can maintain this pace and their injured defensive stars can make a few key stops, they'll beat USCe.

I'm super worried about Cackalacky's offensive line. If Jarvis Jones and company are healthy, poor Connor Shaw will be in for a looooong night.

FIFY

Offense as a whole - UGA
QB - UGA
RB - Cackalacky
OL - UGA
TE - Cackalacky
WR - UGA

Defense as a whole - UGA
DL - Cackalacky
LB - UGA
DB - UGA

ST - Doesn't UGA always have a badass punter? If so, they get the edge. Field position in this game will be imperative.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the Cocks. I'm just worried about y'all's offensive line being able to stand up to that constant pressure Grantham is going to bring. Hell, Vandy basically camped out in y'all's backfield all night.

Our defensive stars aren't injured, they're suspended. Jarvis sat out last week just as a health precaution since it was FAU. I mean, he got hurt the week of the MU game and still played through it. If we played UT last week instead of FAU he would've played.

The tennessee game is the first time we'll actually have our full defense. I dont' think people realize how good we'll be when we get Tree and Rambo back.

Nobody even knew SC had a football team until Steve Spurrier showed up in Columbia.

To start the year, UGA looks better than USCe. By the time it's over, that may not be the case.

Bro, they famously sold out every game of an 0-11 season, before the arrival of SOS. LSU, Ala, UGA whoever would never be able to do that! Not that I think any of those teams would have to either.
