SEC Student Ticket Prices (Best to Worst?)

LSU student ticket prices for away games came out several days ago. Here's the damage
-$85 at Auburn (Eh...)
-$70 at Florida(Reasonable)
-$55 at Arkansas (yes, more of this)
-$100 at Texas A&M
Look I understand that want to curb the number of of 18-21 blackout drunks running around your campus. But $100 seems a little steep to come visit 'scenic' College Station.
Which SEC schools are charging the most, and the least. I have no idea what LSU charges, hopefully not $100

I'll take a wild guess and say that pricing is based on demand.

Arkansas, a great value! The wal mart way!

You do realize that the school has nothing to do with away game prices right? Unless they've totally changed things in the few years since I graduated.
At UGA, students got a student rate for home games ($8), but the away games were just the face value ticket which the other school set.
Those schools you mentioned in the OP aren't just coming after LSU students, those are the prices that every opponent has to pay going into those stadiums.

Mississippi State $35 for 7 games best deal for home games.

Supply and demand!
If you don't buy them, someone else will.

WOW! Unless they are in the lower section this is a HUGE ripoff

I know there is a whole thread that clearly states where LSU is as far as academic rankings go, but when you request 20,000 tickets to come to scenic College Station; the price of admission will go up.

Those aren't the prices just for students, it's for all tickets for those games. And you just learned a valuable lesson in supply and demand. I'm sure the visiting team will sell out it's allotment.
Arkansas is "only" $55 because it's the day after Thanksgiving and in Fayetteville this year. A much tougher place to get to travel-wise as opposed to Little Rock.

I believe it was $6 a ticket when I was in school (2004-2008). I was paying to watch Patrick Willis during the Orgeron years though.

I think ours were only $1 a couple of years ago.

If you factor in the true cost, i.e., the opportunity cost Auburn might have the worst (this is based on when I was there). Per game prices are cheap but they sold home tickets to every single undergrad. So if you wanted a seat (not just a good seat) you had to get there a few hours early. Often the aisles were packed with students and getting concessions or using the restroom meant a 15 minute round trip.

Student tickets for USC home games are free to students

FWIW Auburn has 3 set ticket prices, non-sec crap game, SEC crap game, SEC big Game/Non-SEC big game
This year 7 home tickets cost $450(not including donations) which averages to about $65, so $85 for LSU is about right

Wish we would raise ours to $200.00. $55.00 is a heck of a bargain to get to watch the Flagship dominate.
Plus it keeps the trashy arse mouth breathers from the state of Alabama and Mississippi at home.

at least your school saves some tickets from its allotment for students.
when i was at wvu we had to fend for our own for away games which sometimes did work in our favor
