Both excited to be here. Both tempering immediate expectations. Mizzou looks more the part based on winning lately, but Aggies could make some noise if they tap into the potential they have. Mizzou fans more laid back and Aggie fans seem to have a little bit of LBS. All in all though, nothing negative at the moment for either.

I think a lot of A&M fans can be a vocal bunch especially after drinking a few.

Some you may grow to like, others will just be the dewsh... so all fans got both. so like some mizzou fan meant its like the pot calling the kettle black, and if you can't already learn to deal wit it.

I can't give an impression on Mizzou without being bias, being an MU fan. But as far as A&M goes, nothing against'm. Wish'm luck.

I can say, I'm proud that Mizzou can leave the Big12 with at least three conference championship titles this year. Basketball, Baseball and Wrestling. Baseball is'nt done yet as we get to continue to play towards a national title tomorrow.

I can convey an opinion on the SEC as a whole. That is that I'm so relieved MU got away from the Big12 to the SEC. The Big12 would still be in trouble if it were not for the SEC stepping in and stopping the bleeding from the gaping wound left when the Aggies and Tigers left. It was thier own undoing. I find it hard to believe all those Big12 schools are getting along so well so quickly, it's just a matter of time before it implodes.

As for the SEC, I've said it a thousand times.....The Greatest Conference on the Planet period. I can already see the benefits of the move for Mizzou in the way of recruiting so far. We've gotten many commits for the 2013 season I believe we would never have gotten if it were not for the move to the SEC. I believe it will continue to get even better in years to come. Thats why it's key for Mizzou to have a good stepping out in this years Football program and win games. All's it'll take is one keystone win and I believe it will further open the door to recruiting in the south.

Oh, I understand that SEC teams are generaly a run first scheme and known for tough defenses. Mizzou can run the ball, and pass. It will be interesting to see Mizzou's offense against some of the best defenses in the nation. It will also be interesting to see how Mizzou's fast pace offense will change SEC offenses in the future IF Mizzou is succesful.

mizzou fans on this board seem to be cool, laid back, roll with the punches...they seem to get this board.

some of the a&m fans here just try too hard.

first impressions that i'm sure will change during football season. glad to have both fanbases in the sec.

I'm an Ag but I have noticed that Ag posters here and on Texags are pretty sensitive people. Stop being so jumpy and defensive and grow some thicker skin.

First impressions - I was a bit skeptical of both at first, however, over time I'm glad both have joined.

We have history with aTm, but unfortunately, I don't remember all the aggie jokes. They're a good bunch, and even though they're down now, they won't be for long.

Mizzou - hardly any history, but damn their fans are passionate. Here's to kicking your arse!

Mine:
A&M - it seems that A&M fans love to live in the past IMO. All debates are fueled by what they did 15-20 years ago. Some of you A&M fans are gonna say LINK, but the majority of you on here post in that nature. Plus, I'm to damn lazy to pull up links. You can just go to the post that states which team will A&M beat first.
Mizzou - will take anything the rest of the SEC gives them; whether its a accolade or "award". Unlike A&M, Mizzou believes that they have to work to fit in the SEC, which is correct. A&M for some reason believes that they should be a leading contender for this conference while still in the "Big" 12.
ehh? thoughts?

Outside of winning the Big 12 in 98, what exactly did they do 15-20 years ago?

Tired of A&M's obsession with Texas. It got old quick. Thy are constantly making references to Texas............... and no one on the rant gives 2 fricks.

aTm: Idiots who have to talk about Texas in every thread.

Mizzou: Some idiots, but overall they seem to appreciate their position.

I disagree, I think both fan bases are glad to be here and we welcome them. As far as the past, what fan base doen't talk about the good old days.

I like the Mizzou folks, which I thought I would in the first place, reason I was glad they joined, still think they will fit right in after a lil bit

A&M were losers in the 60's 70's 80's 90's 00's and 10's

nothing has changed there

I'm excited about the A&M fans joinging the SEC, I think they'll fit in way better than everyone is giving them credit for.

Mizzou is slightly different. I get the impression the cardinals are a MUCH bigger deal to Missouri folks than Mizzou football. And if your entire state doesn't f-ing love CFB more than all other sports, I don't know how well you're gonna fit in. Its kinda our thing down here.

TAMU fans cannot let go of their obsession with Texas and a good bit of them cannot come to grips with the fact that SEC fans as a whole don't give two craps about Texas or the Big 12.

Missouri fans are pretty humble, seem to be a good natured bunch.

The football teams will both take their lumps for a while though, will be interesting to see if they adapt.

Happy to have A&M. But Mizzou, yeah, definitely wanted another school. There's nothing southern about Mizzou.
