In terms of delusion:
Above Vandebilt. Below Bama.
I'd say of the 14 teams, we rank around four or five. Ole Miss may have more delusion than us, but for sure Georgia and Auburn do.

We are a lot less delusional than we were 2 or 3 years ago. But how could you blame us with the roll we were on? I'm hoping to become more delusional soon.
Every fanbase gets more delusional as the wins add up. The fall can be swift though. It's still way more fun to follow a team through rebuilding on the way up, than to jump on a bandwagon. Although the bandwagon thing is much less stressful.

some would say us not firing richt is a good reason to show how well grounded our fan base is but i tend to think it's an excellent example how retarded and deluded our fans are. did i do it right?

Why? Because I checked out the ATPB thread for a while and occasionally posted? It isn't like Auburn (or Alabama) have a spotless NCAA track record of not ever getting caught paying players so I don't understand how it was delusional to follow speculation of a potential pay for play scandal at Auburn. ITAT and the majority of Auburn boards have ATPB level threads every single day. Frankly, I got sick of the ATPB thread because the vast majority of the thread delved so far into state and local politics that after the first few pages it had little to nothing to do about football. It quickly devolved into a thread almost entirely about financial crimes and political corruption.

LSU has the most insecure fanbase I've ever seen. Even where we're winning big, there is a deep seated fear that we'll screw it up down the road or that the media will screw us over. I don't find the majority of the fans to be delusional at all.

Bama has won two of the last three championships,
so it's hard to say we're delusional when it comes to expectations.
We do have alot of stupid rednecks fans though.
