Mitchell was trying to get as far away from Grant as he could. Kid appears not to be very coachable.
Kentucky is talented but not very deep. You have to attack them on the inside and try to get them in foul trouble. Only reason we came close was Greene and Jacobs posting up. Hard to get a call in Rupp but they are very beatable away from there. You have to guard the three and go inside. Kentucky very much a momentum team, wants cheap baskets, average in halfcourt game.

I love Grant but it's his own fault for tolerating that BS.

I don't get it either. I guess he just thinks that Tony wouldn't respond very well to being benched, and keeps trying to get through to him in other ways. It's frustrating as hell. Like I said before, thinking of what Tony could be and then seeing what Tony is gets my blood pressure up. I'll take guys like Steele and Randolph over him any day.

Today was another example of why I don't think Jamychal should be lumped in with Tony.
Does Jamychal do stupid shite? Yes. Is his attitude a bit iffy at times? Yes. His reaction to injuries kind of reminds me of when the Wayans brother had a splinter in I'm gonna get you sucka, but he's not Tony Mitchell.

I have to respectfully disagree. Calls were missed on both sides of the ball, so don't pin that "hard to get a call in Rupp" on today's game. And we had at least two guys come off the bench and play well despite some foul trouble with guys like MKG and Jones.
Out of respect for Alabama, they did well packing the inside and eliminating a lot around the basket. They match up well physically. Your post reeks of claiming we're average and we're far from that. Neither is Bama when guys like Greene play like they're capable of.

The only reason I lump Jamychal in with Tony is the fact that Jamychal just seems like he decides he doesn't feel like playing basketball an hour before tip sometimes. If he brought it like he did today every game, he could be an All American. He doesn't though.

This 'Bama team has a great amount of talent. However, they dumbfound me for a number of reasons:
1.) Team Discipline. Where the frick is it ? C'mon with the stupid arse plays/TOs/fouls. A lot of time we don't even have great shot selection. Today we had better shot selection.
2.) Releford. Why does he limit his shots and then just takes over the game. He has to start getting consistent and become that playmaker. He has to quit disappearing.
3.) Mitchell and Green. We can never get these two players to give 100% at the same time. Unless we are playing an incredibly shitty team. I've never seen so many weak minded players. Granted, Green comes up big a lot of times. . . as long as he is scoring and making plays. Even when he is making plays, he doesn't have his head in the game and make dumb fricking plays.

Reason why Kentucky gets so many calls is because they drive to the basket and they are aggressive.
27-40 FT's...I thought UK left alot of points on the court and if Davis was able to connect...gotta give credit to Bama (I was worried about this game and I am glad we won).
Also, pulling UK away from Rupp, you realize what Cals record is on neutral courts since he has been at UK right?
Oh, Mitchell needs to be running on the treadmill for an attitude adjustment.

Good news is the Cats will be out of the tournament before the Elite 8 this year.

No. We have a better team than we had last season, Jortard.

Last year Kentucky was 2-6 on the road in the SEC yet they have not lost at home since Calipari has been there. I am not implying that Kentucky is average, far from it. KY has to be one of the most talented teams in the country, but Cal only plays about 7 people. I think KY is deeper than that but Cal does not trust his depth. It will have to be developed if he wants to go far in the tournament. You can succeed if you go right at Kentucky. If you want to beat them, attack their strength, shotblocking.
The officiating throughout the conference is the reason it is hard to win on the road in the SEC. When you play a talented team at their gym, 24,000 fans can influence the calls. One or two calls down the stretch can decide close games. That is why KY hasn't lost a game at home. Hard to beat talent, the crowd and the officials.
Kentucky has a great team, but Bama beat them on the glass today. Bama is a very young and really only an average team. Kentucky has holes that can be exposed by a quality team.
Teague and Jones are both going to have to step it up for KY to go far.

Maybe. But UK shot 40 FT's today and definitely got the bulk for the calls. I don't ever like losing but I was proud of our team. UK is a great talented team and being in the game only 2 down with 30 secs in Rupp arena is making a statement that we can play with anyone.

How do you explain the call of jump ball on Jacobs' shot? He goes up, gets the shot off (which goes in ) before he comes down but they call a held ball while he is in the air. Complete B.S. Huge call, defies all logic, goes KY's way.
Just one of many.

Good gawd...go ahead and say the refs cost you the game...
Bama played a tough game, you just did not have the horses to finish it in the end
And the refs did not cost you the game, so quit being a bitch.

You apparently failed to read my posts and you failed to explain that call. I never stated that the refs cost Bama the game. I said that it is hard to get a call at Rupp.
KY is a talented team. Fortunately, it is young talent. Davis is a great shotblocker, but most of his blocks come from help defense. He is too thin if you are a big body and go right at him. Jacobs, also a freshman, scored when he went right to him. Davis will develop into an exceptional player if he stays for two more years. They will kill him in the NBA with his present frame. He has to get stronger. Outstanding talent, still growing into his body.

You either didn't pay attention or don't know how the rule works; Davis blocked the shot as he was going up, it remained in possession of both players during the block, whistle was blown, then the shot goes up.
There were bad calls but you're harping on the wrong one.

Mitchell fouling out early hurt... even though he sucks now, he's a good presence to have on the court. We have very little depth, not enough big men, and no one that can consistently shoot the 3. If we had those, we may be one of the best teams in the country.
Future is bright with the Freshman we have though.

I did pay attention and know how rule works. Should be no whistle till Jacobs comes down, play still alive until then. If both still in possession call held ball, don't take a basket away from a kid because someone partially blocked a shot.
