seems that even if Bama wins some will say they still should not be #1, lol

So, if 17-1 Green Bay were to lose to 11-8 Denver in the Super Bowl, Green Bay would still be Super Bowl champion?

Good argument. You potato farmers are pretty smart.

How about this. Taking all of what you said at face value, Bama lost to LSU (the best LSU team of all time) by three points. No one else cames within an whale's dick of LSU this year.

Why are you so butthurt about playing Bama again? Can LSU fans enjoy being the undefeated and no. 1 team in the country? Isn't it true that LSU would have to play in this game no matter who the opponent is?

Some of our fans are so fricking insecure, and unable to enjoy the moment, that it's embarrassing. Be a man, swing your dick, and have confidence in your team.

People who bitch about Alabama are overcompensating for their own shortcomings, IMNSHO.

I don't know what ESPN said, but I bet there's not another town in the country with the long sustained success of the two high school football programs in Valdosta.

At this point it doesn't really matter. Both teams made it to the title game and one will win.

Comparison of Average Scores vs. Common Opponents

Alabama = 38.5 / Opponents = 9.7

LSU = 39.3 / Opponents = 9

Given the avereage score comparision vs. common opponents being so close, and the fact that BAMA lost to LSU by only 3 points (their greatest accomplishment of 2011), I think it's fair to assume that they would have beaten every other team on LSU's schedule as well.

Right now only 3 points separates these two teams. Any margin of victory tomorrow night for LSU clearly makes them #1, while BAMA must win by more than 3 points before I could acknowledge them truly being better than LSU. JMHO
