I can see Bammers and Gumps, but I don't understand Updykes

I mean Harvey Updyke....one man, poisoned the trees, and he's stupidly retarded to the nth degree for doing so.....and he sucks.
But I don't see why people want to call Alabama fans Updykes because of the actions of one man.
I even hear people saying "Y'ALL poisoned the trees!!!!" I'm guess Harvey had some assistance along the way.
Anyways, I just think it's dumb to get angry and insult an entire fanbase based on the actions of a few, in this case, one.

I was reading some Auburn people on al.com call Alabama SPUAT. I understand what UAT is... which is I think supposed to be derogatory, though I have no idea why pointing out that Alabama is in Tuscaloosa is derogatory when it is in Tuscaloosa, but the SP part is beyond me.

It's really really dumb. SPUAT= Scandal Plagued University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Even BSPN made Updyke the face of Alabama football during their special on the rivalry. Not all Alabama fans are Bammers, mullets, Gumps, Updykes, etc. but a lot of Bammers supported and support Updyke. Bammers have hated rolling OUR trees, they have created lies about Bears death, they have spread the hate So yes Harvey, Updykes are part of Alabama and their fans are Updykes, tree killers and fans who do not respect other schools traditions.
