If you go by the level of competition my expectations aren't very high of Keil even if we sign him. Our offense isn't pass happy, and stars mean very little. I do like that offer list though.

Quite true. Game still to be played, two evenly matched foes, with rabid fan bases, each proclaiming victory.
Successive NC are quite rare for a multitude of reasons. Kids are human, rarely hungry after tasting success.
Pros raid your best players, agents gain their ear and they start to play for themselves( ie draft position).
Other schools raid your staff, turning coordinators into HCs and position coaches into coordinators. Success makes staff retention impossible.
Just enjoy the time you are at the cusp of the college football pinnacle

Perrilloux did play an intregal part in winning a National Title so he wasn't all the way bust.
I'm not high on Kiel personally talentwise but I do love his mental ability and knowledge of the position and football. We haven't had a qb like that on the field in 4 years. Hopefully it will be a nice change.
Missed the elite 11 discussion and I know Kiel didn't get "picked" by Dilfer and company but almost every recruiting analyst there thought he should have been. I watched the show that came on about it and Kiel didn't stand out but really only 2-3 kids did and it was so close for those 11 spots that it could've gone a number of different ways. All based on judgement of the people choosing the group.

I just can't for the life of me figure out which Alabama QB on the roster he would have requested scholly to be pulled. None of them are elite QB's. Bama, just like LSU, does not need a elite QB anyway. If we get this kid thats great and all but all we need in our respective systems are guys who can simply manage the game well. Besides if he was truely scared of competition, coming to a school that has Mett for the next two years would not be his 1st choice. I call B.S. on this nonsense. He changed his mind Bama fans, get over it. Heck he will probably play for ND anyway.

Still don't know if he is coming to LSU but signs point to us.
On the Elite 11 comments, if he comes to LSU we don't need him to be Peyton Manning or even the best Qb in the division. We just need him to be better than Jefferson and Lee and have a talented defense
