You'll miss his leadership more than anything. The athletes are there. Maybe play Seth Fruge early in the year to have an emotional field leader that's been around while the young guys adjust.

By game 7 or 8 freshman don't play like freshman anymore anyways. I really wish A&M had LSU early in the year

Why do people keep saying LSU will be young on D? Unless some underclassmen beat out the Upper, LSU looks like this as of the spring.

DE Jordon Allen Jr
Jamauria Rasco Jr
LT Anthony Johnson Jr
RT Ego Furguson Jr
SLB Tahj Jones Sr
MLB DJ Welter Jr
OLB Lamin Barrow Sr
CB Jalen Collins So
Jalen Mills So
S Ronald Martin Jr
Craig Loston Sr

The two SO were outstanding as freshmen and they are the youngest starters we have. I am not saying we won't take a step back from last year but clearly we are not breaking in a bunch of freshmen. LSU is stacked and even the back ups have a ton of experience. Keep wishing LSU won't be right back in the mix.

My question is this, why do Bama fans oppose counting only divisional games?

Why is this even an arguement? If they change it to West vrs West and East vrs East, I am sure Bama fans would get on board. Why should they concern themselves with something that doesn't exist at this present time. I think its a horrible idea to change that part of it anyway. The East games would be nothing more than OOC games for the most part. It doesn't make since to play a bunch of meaningless games. As for as the, we have to play Florida every year thing, I don't want them to change it. Its one of the biggest games of the year. I would rather watch LSU vrs Florida/Georgia over LSU vrs Vandy/UT/Kentucky/S Car/Missouri any day of the week. Besides, Tennessee was one of the top dogs not to long ago. It cycles. Clearly I would like to forget the 80's and 90's for LSU. UT fans probably thought it unfair that Florida got a weak LSU team while they had to play Bama.

102 days till football....

I'm shocked LSU fans are the ones replying, obviously they've beat some serious teams and deserve all the accolades..

No one is out there putting LSU on this rediculousy high, unproven pedistal. LSU fans aren't making unsupported cliams either(neither are Bama fans). The media should slow down a bit and see what happens. Way premature at this point. Bama hasn't been tested. I know LSU hasn't either. There's really nothing to talk about here except the wasted breath of Mel Kiper.
Simple : Bray and Wislson will play in the NFL.

McMoran will not. He will hold a clipboard just like every other Saban QB has. The guy is what Saban needs him to be. Which isn't much. He completed a mear 50% of his passes against a pathectic Michigan team, had his best game against a pathetic W Kentucky team that Bama tried to force the issue on the pass and he still had an average game and then beat an Arkansas team that was missing the best QB in the SEC. I mean if McMoran's game against Arkansas would be the measuring stick then ULM's QB would be the best in the SEC. Same field, but double the stats. Your arguement is weak and biased. Can't wait for Nov 3rd. Geaux Tigers!!!!

Lee was a year ahead of JJ.

Tell me again about Miles showing preference to seniority.

JJ didn't get a shot until Lee got hurt against Ole Miss. If you recall JJ actually played pretty good in that second half. He had a descent game against Arkansas the next week and the Georgia Tech game is where he took control of the job, all while Lee was healing. We as LSU fans were actually pretty pumped up after that game for the 2009 season if you recall. Miles bought in and never looked back. At that point, after blowing JJ's redshirt, Lee and JJ were both equal as for as time left at LSU. Upperclassmen had nothing to do with it anymore. Lee had 7 pick 6's vrs JJ leading LSU to a blow win over a very good G Tech team. Miles never trusted Lee again and if not for JJ's retardation before the season started this year Lee still would not have seen much playing time, IMO.

Does Miles allow underclassmen to start over upperclassmen? Yes. But mostly on Defense where he lets Chavis run the show. But on Offense, it's very rare. I can't think of any offensive players that won a permanant starting spot for any other reason than the upperclassmen getting hurt. And almost always the upperclassmen gets their job back, almost. (See JJ for the exception)

Hatch was fine a week or two later, but didn't play, BOOM BACK AT YA BIAAAAA

When he came back after his injury against Auburn, he rotated with Jarrett Lee in the games against Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. He suffered a broken leg at the beginning of the game against Georgia, which caused him to miss the last 6 games of the season. Hatch completed 25 of 45 passes for 282 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Tigers in 2008. He also rushed for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns on 35 carries. Because he wouldn't be healed in time to compete in the spring at LSU, he decided to finish his studies at Harvard.

Duke has given it's fans National title's, Multiple Final 4's and ACC championships. LSU has given us what? Shaq and the Pistol.

It was Duke vrs UNC. You need look no further than that as do why no one left. But if you need more, the above list is just a fragment of the differences.

People forget that Hill was running behind L Collins. Hilliard was running behind nobody of note.

Not to mention Hillard got hurt in the first half and didn't play but 1 snap in the second. Never mind the long TD run that got called back on penalty. He finished with what, 98 yards a 2 TD's I think. Hill had a huge game, but Kenny was having a huge night as well. Glad both guys are Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

Is it just me or does JJ look like that pass was intentional. He is staring at the Bama player the whole way.
We did not approve this message : signed sane LSU fans :dope:

Saban burnt his Redshirt against Arkansas in the last game of the season and we watched him give up the game winning TD for the Hogs. Yea, that was brilliant. :banghead:

re: #1 QB Gunner Kiel to commit to LSU

I also am not a big fan of Kiel as a prospect and never have been aside from his mental preparation for the game. The analysts either see something I don't or they are really selling bs for a living. He's got talent for sure but he just doesn't impress me and I hate the comp he plays. I'll take him though because of the possibility that he's as good as the analysts say he is and because I like the qbs we already have.

The kid graduates early and qualifies to go to Vandy. The kid is smart and they say though he is not a true dual threat QB he moves in and out the pocket very well which means he will be able to run the option. On top of that he is deadly acurate which means that the short passing game LSU plays will be right up his ally. Maybe he won't pan out, but thats a pretty good start.

Still think we won't get him but it sure is nice being in the running. ND offensive coordinator Charley Molnar was the one recruiting him. With him leaveing for UMass it may be a plus for LSU or Vandy as well.

LSU has had their fair share, and honestly, I wish we would turn away players like Winston because they can absolutely do more harm to a program than good when they make a decision a week into fall camp to sign with an MLB team.

Yea, because Chad Jones and Spencer Ware certainly brought a lot of negativity to LSU....no wait. There are fewer Z Lee's than you think.

Just food for thought here but Jarrett Lee was part of the elite 11. That should say plenty. He has served well but clearly he is not anywhere near one of the best QB's in the country.

Hell, I'll admit it. But I don't want a player who's family demanded we pull another kid's scholarship offer just so their son wouldn't have competition at his position. That's bush league pussy shite.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I quit following his recruitment after he committed to Indiana. Is that what really happened? Idk what's worse, that or Keenan Allen's bs.

I just can't for the life of me figure out which Alabama QB on the roster he would have requested scholly to be pulled. None of them are elite QB's. Bama, just like LSU, does not need a elite QB anyway. If we get this kid thats great and all but all we need in our respective systems are guys who can simply manage the game well. Besides if he was truely scared of competition, coming to a school that has Mett for the next two years would not be his 1st choice. I call B.S. on this nonsense. He changed his mind Bama fans, get over it. Heck he will probably play for ND anyway.
