I assume he'd take over for MC but I have to wonder if Miles wouldn't rather he stay at the Nickel instead.

Mathieu is moving to quaterback next year. Miles wants to boost his Heisman numbers. Les loves his players that much.

Given his size etc... what's wrong with him playing nickel?

Hell, he'd probably do pretty well in the wildcat. He's one of the best athletes for sure.

Not a thing. Just wondering if they would risk taking him out and putting him on either side at CB considering the ridiculous stats he garnered this year.

He's more valuable to a defense at nickel IMO.

If MC goes(Most likely will) I don't see TM7 taking that over Brooks has been awesome every time he hit the field.

I think they keep him inside for the most part.

I was gonna say play him like Arenas, put him outside then shift him inside in nickle, but 3 CBs all the time is become the reg now...

He had a pretty good year doing what he is doing now, I wouldn't change a thing...

They'll find a third corner that will play opposite Simon and allow Mathieu to roam like he does now. Zero experience so it may take a few games to see it come to light.

Yes, Tyrann will be at Nickel, but he will play rover. You saw what he could do at Safety, against AR, and Corner against FL. He's just one of those special players. He's been at Nickel, alot, cause LSU wants him aroundthe ball(where craziness and Mathieu-happens). Watch for David Jenkins(Rivals #1 cover corner) to be Claiborne's replacement, and Tyrann keeps doing what he does.

You know he hasnt played exclusivly at nickel right?

Hes gotten alot of snaps at corner and at the nickel and even played saftey bs Arky

Hell be whereever he is in the best position to make plays so I think hell roam around like he did this year

he'll play nickel when we are in nickel and dime as always. he'll move outside when we are in a base defense (which is fairly rare).

I think they'll leave him be and give one of the younger guys a chance to step up & take Claiborne's spot. Eugene, Collins, etc. We're actually pretty damn deep with good defensive backs.

I think he'll stay at nickel. Simon definitely starts. The other corner will be an open competition.

Nickel allows Tyrann to roam and make plays, which is what he does best.

Unless Jenkins is amazing tyrann will be outside. He can still blitz from there and have Reid pick up his man.

Luckily the schedule isn't brutal in the front end and we can experiment. If Simon can just catch it next year he might take home the Thorpe award

It really doesn't matter where you put him. He will eat you for breakfast.
